Since I didn't see this thread before, let me say now that I miss the political and religious discussions. They were mostly civil. Sometimes they degenerated to namecalling, but so do the Jags threads.To answer the question of how to moderate such a board, I'd insist on no personal attacks, and that such discussions be fact oriented. This should also apply to the Jaguars main board, where personal attacks are rampant. Current threads such as jokes, consumer advice, and odd news tend to be harmless and I see no difficulty in moderating such threads. They are far less a problem than the 1074th Shack-bashing thread. EDIT: When someone is banned, the board should be notified of the reason. Very well said, no point in taking a forum like this away.

Here is a copy of a post earlier in the thread by JID tell ya what....use this thread to nominate 10 users to be mods of the Sideline and Sideline only.....existing mods will not moderate here unless they want to relinquish their regular mod duties and you vote them in ......then start a poll to vote on them....I'll take the top 5 that agree to serve....if we do this will probably rename the sideline to "just for fun" and will jettison all existing posts (you will not lose them on your post counts though)....Would cut off the voting at 8:30 in the morning.....how's that sound?
