There were a few mods that campaigned hard to try to keep the Sideline because of the fact that this is a community board and the sideline did serve a specific purpose.
It's not something that we're any more happy about than those that use the sideline as a way to have a little non-football related fun.
The good news is that on the new board the mods won't be transparent to the users. You will know who we are as if that is any real mystery currently.
So what was the reason for the Sideline's removal?
This is a football related message board and the sideline is not really a football driven forum on this site. For better or worse, that is at least a part of the motivation behind the change that's coming.

| | What a bunch of crap.....I used to never come to the sideline. This is the place to come after a game when all the other fans are whining. My posts and visits to this site will significantly decrease. If that was the purpose of the Jaguars organization they have done a great job.

Who's decision was it to neuter the Sideline? WW? Vic? Edict from the NFL?
I don't think the decision fell on one person. But, in typical fashion for this board I guess we need someone to blame, right?
