We plan on launching a new message board tomorrow sometime between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. When this process begins the old board will be shutdown so we can move accounts & posts to the new board.

The following is provided to answer some of the questions which will arise.
1) The new board will contain a forum entitled “New Forum Comments” which will remain on the board for a two week period. This forum is intended to help you and us with the transition to the new board. Constructive comments and suggestions concerning the new board are to go here only. Suggestions / comments placed in other forums will not be moved, nor read, but rather deleted.
2) Logging into the new board – sign in using your username and password just as you would with the existing board.
3) Signatures – Signatures will be transferred to the new board. A few sigs may not work when transferred.
4) Avatars - Will not come over to the new board, so save yours if you would like to use it on new board.
5) Forums - The board will include the following forums:
a. The Jaguars – same content as the existing board
b. AFC South – same content as existing board
c. NFL @Large - Same content with additional expectation that Free Agency is also discussed here
d. College Football – A new forum dedicated to the discussion of college football and the NFL Draft
e. Tailgate Zone – A place for fans to discuss their tailgate plans, share tailgate setups/recipes, and talk about their gameday, or where they plan to watch the game.
f. Jaguars Ticketing – same content as on existing board. We will be making a concerted effort to ensure that your ticketing questions are answered in a prompt manner by members of the Ticket Office.
g. Gameday Experience – Modification of old forum. This redirects you to the ‘My Experience’ portion of Jaguars.com so you may ask questions and voice concerns pertaining to your gameday experience.
h. Jaguars.com - Same content as existing board, your comments and concerns regarding jaguars.com or the message forums (after the ‘New Forum Comments” is deleted)
6) Banned Members Appeals - This forum will appear only if you have been suspended or banned. This is the only place to appeal a suspension or banishment. Only board admins have additional access to this forum. Only they will make a final determination on appeals for reinstatement.
7) The Sideline --This board will be a football only board. Hence, “The Sideline” is gone and will not be reintroduced. Non- Football threads (other than those in the Feedback area )will be deleted when noticed by mods or admins and warnings will be issued for posting same.
8) Warnings – Members will typically receive five warnings before they are suspended or banned from the board. We reserve the right, however, to suspend or ban your account without notice should the violation be severe enough.
9) Trolls – Trollish behavior includes the disruption of the board by means of meaningless posts, profanity, spamming the board, etc. A troll IS NOT a fan of the opposing team who expresses their opinion of a recent or upcoming game.
10) Spamming the board – Bumping posts, replying to one’s own response, and extremely short responses that add little to the topic are considered spamming and subject to warnings from the mods.
11) Board Dicipline - Occasionally we run into the unfortunate situation where we have to suspend members for poor conduct on the message board. A member who breaks the rules outlined above is subject to the following disciplinary action:
a. First through fourth offenses : Warning
b. Fifth offense – Suspension or Permanent ban
Egregious violations may result in temporary suspension which will be reviewed by the administrators for potential permanent banishment.
12) Clean Slate – All members, less those currently banned, will start out on the new board with no warnings. Formal warnings for starting non-football threads will not be issued during the first week of operation, however, these threads will be immediately deleted and you will receive PM warnings. Should a mod determine you are knowingly and purposefully posting non-football threads you will be suspended.
13) Off-topic Posts- Will not be tolerated and will be subject to warnings.
14) Ignore feature – This is an included function of the board so you may choose to ignore any poster who bothers you, less the mods and admins. You may also chose to not see sigs.
15) Quoting posts – Many have complained in the past about this and we have limited the number of posts that can be quoted to four.
16) Revised COC - The COC has been revised and will be pinned to each Forum. Please familiarize yourself with it. By logging into the the new board, old members are bound to its terms and conditions.
17) Blogs – Official Jaguars blogs may be accessed from the message board. We may, in the future enable user blogs, either selectively or en masse.
18) Gallery – We are also moving our picture gallery to the Forum. Again, for the time being this is an Official gallery only.
