Yeah because more actual football talk and less "pancakes", "elite threads" and "haikus" is a terrible idea...So you're the one. You should enjoy the friendly banter between FBT and TMD, the only two posters left besides you.

The last time the board was changed my username didn't transfer and I had to select another. At the beginning I was Chiefjag but I couldn't log on with that name anymore despite using the same password, so I had to change it to "the Chiefjag"; will that happen again? I'd also like to express my disappointment with removing the Sideline. I didn't go there very often but it's a nice feature to help out other Jag fans who might request advice or suggestions on problems they are experiencing. Is it that much extra work? If it's removed members will have to go to Yahoo groups or someplace else to seek help. Seems to me you'd like to keep them on your web site. The most annoying thing on this board to me is the incessant name calling and belittling. Once it starts, it becomes contagious. Some people can't state their differing opinion without resorting to personal attacks. Even though it's against the COC it seems to go on without punishment. Thanks...............the Chiefjag I agree with the sentiment of Chiefjag. That is the real problem here at Jags.com. The constant belittlement of each other is why I migrated over to the sideline. It is or was a great place to kick back and have a laugh while escaping the whining and belittling of each other simply because of differing opinions. We sideliners were extremely high class!

Yep, and that will really test the mods. What will constitute "off-topic" will be debated incessently.If a fan can't afford tickets because of some new tax, is that football-related? What about players who are named after religious figures?

| JID, I'm probably wasting my time offering this opinion, since it's probably too late for you guys to do anything at this point even if you wanted to...
but,
I think it is an extremely bad decision to discontinue The Sideline.
The sideline was a great place where the members of this board could take a break from football, talk about a variety of subjects & get to know each other better & create friendships & more.
While I wasn't one who requented the sideline as much as others, I did enjoy the forum & thought it was a cool place to chill.
Sometimes, people would be in need & the sideline was a venue where they could ask for/ get help with certain problems/ issues. Now, that will be impossible, with the loss of that forum & the new rules.
I think we will lose a lot of traffic on the entire forum because of this decision, and IMO, that cannot be a good thing.
The offseason will be extremely boring without the Sideline....especially post draft till camp opens.
Let me also state that I hope that you keep the overall design/ colors/ asthetics the same, as I think this board is much better in the current colors (black backdrop/ white type, teal & gold accents.) It's easy to read & looks cool. Much better than the previous board.
Hopefully some of my comments here in this post will be taken seriously & if possible considered. I think its a fair assumption to say that my opinion up there is not alone.
