T.J. guaranteed a Bengals win this sunday which I consider worse than anything Chad has said.

I think you'll find he guaranteed they'd get at least one win this SEASON, not this SUNDAY. Whatever gets us motivated I suppose

"Houshmandzadeh said he feels the Bengals will beat Jacksonville this weekend."

Well I guess that's not really a guarantee.

Carson Palmer + Chad Johnson > David Garrard + Matt Jones

Ryan Fitzpatrick + Chad Johnson < David Garrard + Matt Jones - 100

not much more to it than that.

And oh BY THE WAY...let's compare the mouth to a Jag receiver.

Jag-
7 games, 38 receptions,455 yards,12.0 avg.,35 (long),2 TD's

Chad Johnson-

7 games,32 receptions, 312 yards,9.8 avg,22 (long)

, 2 TD's

Yea, I must be the braindead one. You're the guy who can't think for himself or apparently watch the games, and just says whatever Sportscenter tells you to. Sad.[/quote]

ok - your spin on this one is hilarious! dude are you a politician? lol

1) CJ is doubled every game almost every play    2) he is playing with a HORRIBLE backup qb  on a HORRIBLY bad and unmotivated team  4) Bengals O-line is similar to worse than Jags, with much worse running game

Jags receivers playing with   1) "elite" qb   2) good team  3) depleted O-line but much better running game than Bengals

Even though I think CJ is a huge mouth that I wish someone would silence, Please do not even try to say ANY of Jags receivers anywhere close to him.

Stats support me. And btw, if any receiver on Cincy has been doubled this year it's been Housyourmama. And did you see MJ get doubled in the second half last week? Didn't exactly slow him down. Be an individual and devise your own opinion and don't allow ESPN dictate your sports knowledge...it will make your opinions much less laughable.

Apparently you missed the part where the receiver fell down and because Rasheen was 3 yards back he happened to be in the right place at the right time. That play would of been a 1st down for them had he not fallen.

Andersons INT never happens if there wasn't a penalty.

You do not know Holmes would have caught the ball if he did not fall. He is not the best WR on the team - Hines Ward is.

The penalty was offsides #93 before Anderson threw the ball. What Groves did had nothing to do with who caught that pass. So what's your point?

If Rashean Mathis does not make Chad Johnson shut up, somebody else will!

^Don't get me wrong, I love Mathis, and want for him to be the shut down, interception machine that he is week in and week out, but you have to realistic and see that he is missing crucial tackles and getting beat by WRs week in and week out.

He really needs to step it up, the only really really nice play I've seen from him this year was that jumped route against the Colts that he intercepted and returned for 6. That was nasty!

Is this a joke of a statement? are you trying to look like someone who knows nothing of what they talk about? is it april fool's day???

lets see... mathis has shadowed every team's best WR the whole game... something no other CB does as much as he does... he hasnt given up more than 2 catches in ANY GAME THIS ENTIRE YEAR... he has 2 more TD's than fred taylor... he has as many TD's as matt jones... he shuts his man down every week, the first long pass against him came last week when the QB had all day to execute a double move where even then he was still on him pretty well.

are you really that dumb? WOW... ya, mathis hasnt played well cuz he missed a tackle last game... nvm his FF, nvm the multiple tackles for loss he has....

some people just cant get any more clueless

TMD's "predictions" so far for 08 season:
-Minnesota and Philly in the NFC championship game with Minnesota in the Superbowl
-Denver Broncos in the AFC championship game
-Houston a top 5 rushing team in the 09 season
-Houston seeded higher in the playoffs than the jags
- jags finishing 9-7 at best
- Browns finish better than the Jags
-Jags finish last in the AFC South after a bad showing in the preseason
TMD and I have a bet for $100 on the Jags wins
-Denver winning the AFC West LOL
-Bengals over Jags 24-21

Mathis has been solid all year...tackling has never been his forte. He has the Neon Deion syndrome, he wants to make a play on the ball at all times...not so much on the receiver. However, he has the ability to scare QB's from throwing his way, and I've seen that plenty of times this year.Is he playing as good as he did two years ago? Hell no, he was arguably the best CB in the league then...but is he the best player on this defense and a top CB in this league? You betcha.

Yeah one was 21 yards the other about 42 yards? Mathis gives up more big plays than he makes. And like everyone said he can't tackle. I hope he shuts them down this week there are no excuses against a backup QB and a last place team.

are you really this stupid? the 2 biggest plays mathis has given up ALL YEAR, were the 2 catches edwards had last week... how can you say these things and expect to be taken seriously?

he hasnt given up more than 2 catches all year... not even bailey covers the #1 WR on every team every play like mathis does... chris chambers beat bailey for a 50 yard TD this year... guess how many TD's mathis has given up this year? ... 1, on a 4 yard route... thats it..

so many of you are as clueless as it gets, you have a top 3 CB on your team and you focus on tackling... nvm the fact that 3 other players missed the tackle last game, lets just blame the best player on our defense.

i cant wait for the metrics to come out for this year so i can make all of you guys look even more dumb than you already look

Mathis is playing better than he was 2 years ago. Why do people talk about thigns they dont understand?

that year, mathis was a good CB, but teams did not fear him.. the result? he was thrown on 96 times that year... THATS A TON.. a year later, PLAYING HURT, guess how much he was thrown on? 64 times... thats a HUGE DROP... teams feared him the next year... also, in that 8 int season, he wasnt guarding #1 WR's every play of ever game, last year he did that some, this year, he has done it EVERY SINGLE GAME.

INTS DO NOT MEAN YOU ARE A GOOD CB!!!!!!!!!!!! mathis is covering the #1 WR and is giving up less catches with ABSOLUTELY ZERO PASS RUSH than he did 2 years ago.

he is playing better than every CB in the league not named nnamdi asomugha. no team has a worse pass rush than us, yet mathis hasnt given up anything all year.

BY FAR, he is having a better season than 06. STOP LOOKING AT INT'S

Dude, I normally agree with you...but you need to chill the hell out. Mathis isn't playing to the level of his 06 season. Technique-wise or statistically.
