| | I regularly read Vic's columns to stay in touch with the team and i get the sense that Vic is somewhat protective and biased in favor Garrard's play. Anyone else see this or am i just reading too much into it? Please vote.

| | David is playing well, its our running game and our defense that is struggling. |

| IIRC, he even said that David Garrard is the best dresser in the NFL and that Deion Sanders dressed like a clown. I thought that was pretty funny.

| ksmith.904 (10/28/2008) David is playing well, its our running game and our defense that is struggling.I'm not saying that he's playing well or bad. All i'm asking is do you think Vic's opinions of DG are in line with reality or is Vic a bit biased in favor of DG?

| Not by a long shot. Vic is right on point in his "defense" of Garrard. He is literally carrying this team on his shoulders right now. Next week he should be able to gain a breather with a weak run defense got Jones-Drew and Taylor to go up against.

| Football Outsiders do a by-position ranking of players by DVOA on a weekly basis. Gives a pretty good impression of how well individual players are performing when isolated from the rest of their team as much as can be done using statistics.
According to them, David Garrard was the 5th best QB in the league this week, just ahead of Drew Brees.
I don't think Vic's out of line at all. David struggled along with the rest of the team early, but now he's picked it up to a very high level, and other parts of the team are letting him down. |

I'm not asking whether he had a good game this week and Vic saw this too. I'm asking from your observations of what Vic has wrote about DG over the years, whether he played well or not, were his opinions in line with reality?

| Vic's right, DG has this team on his shoulders and is single handedly keeping us in games. He was our leading rusher vs. Cleveland for crying out loud. Our OL is doing such a piss poor job that he is making plays and basically putting points up on the board himself.

Not certain why you want to blame him for the loss.
