The Jaguars are not tough anymore, nor are they fast. The Jaguar defense is now a bunch of mediocre guys playing in a league of pros.

Ummmm....No. This is the same defensive personnel from last year. Have some gotten a little long in the tooth and a step slower, yes. It's the DC's job to recognise that and compensate for it either by replacing them or scheming around the things they can't do. If he can't do that he won't have a job long or the coach won't have a job long. That simple.

Agreed.

But make sure we assess NO blame to the front office for this. Even though it is directly traced to them.

Lets put the blame on Jack & the coaches, even though Vince Lombardi in his prime couldn't win with this group of "talent".

Colts AND Chargers look good.

according to you they are both the most talented teams in the league but they are both worse than the Jags with WAY LESS injuries.

Did Shack bully you in high school?

Are you dating Shack? Why so OVERprotective of such a MEDIOCRE GM???

What the hell have the Jags WON with James Harris at GM? They have won ONE wild card game over 6 seasons and you try to use the Colts ONE season where they are doing poorly, despite the fact that the Colts had won 5 straight division titles and a superbowl.

I've never seen such loyalty to such an average coach or GM in my life as ou people are to James Harris.

Funny, though, most of you aren't as quick to defend jack Del Rio, so what does that tell you?...

Congratulations to the 2008 WORLD Champions, your Philadelphia Phillies!

It depends on the situation more than anything. If the play is likely to be a run play between the tackles you call for a run stuffing defense. You only have the players you have and if they can't get it done then it's tough. If it's a pass play and you gamble on a corner blitz but the blitz doesn't get to the QB and the DB's don't cover then it's tough.

A Defensive Coordinator is not going to call plays based upon his personnel at the expense of calling the correct defense first.

C'mon! You all are missing the problem.

It is Hurricane Katrina's fault, which was Dubya's fault.

I just followed the NFL. Not a fav team back then.

And I'm not ditching the Jags now.

Harris will be gone soon enough and then I will be happy the Jags will be able to get their personnel back on the right track, and half this board will be so depressed, they will want to jump off the st Johns bridge because their love for James Harris is greater than their loyalty to the FRANCHISE and what is best for it.

I defend Shack because you are COMPLETELY obsessed with him. You talk trash about him in 99.5% of your post. You must of forgot that this team was TERRIBLE a couple of years before Harris got here and he rebuilt it nicely. His first round draft picks you constantly complain about aren't even nearly as bad as you say they are. Rashean Mathis is probably the best defensive player this team has ever had and who drafted him? oh yeah Shack Harris did. Maurice Jones-Drew is the best play maker this team has ever had and who drafted him? oh yeah Shack Harris. Even the best linebacker we ever had in Mike Peterson was signed by Shack Harris. The ONLY reason this team is where it is now is because of the offensive line injuries which is getting ridiculous.

And another thing Shack Harris isn't the one going for 4th down conversions in field goal range. Who ever says the coaching isn't one of the main reasons doesn't know what they're talking about.

OK, no need to discuss this anymore with you if you honestly believe that.

This team has MANY more problems than JUST that.

Wow.

Typical TMD take one sentence out of the whole post lol.

ok now please tell me the main reason we lost to the Titans, Browns, and Steelers.

Why isn't our running game working at all?

I was hoping you would say that you were a Jets fan - It would explain why you dislike Harris so much.
