Good post Su.  You always seem to post level-headed well thought out things.

I think the team needs to hold onto their draft picks this year and not trade up.  Maybe even trade down to get some more picks and start to draft some young depth that will be able to step up in the future, some jars on the shelf if you will.  I like the Best Available Player idea, and like you said, try to draft them a year early so they can sit and learn instead of throwing them in there on cuff.

Su, i feel like we know each other, and that eraser girl sure looks familiar. I see what you are saying, however, i dont think the mistakes of the past mean you stand pat. This team is not getting the job done....bottom line. I have  run out of excuses to make for this years squad. The one thing i could point to that coould have prevented this team from getting over the top is the fact that we have whiffed on nearly every free agent aqusition, as well as high draft picks since the Harris/ Del Rio era began. I love the coach and dont want him to go anywhere, however i continue to seriously doubt the front office. Agree totally on the draft point......it sure is cold here!

hmmm, Jag fan + Lebowski + the words "whiffed" and "bottom line" + it's cold where you are? Steven?!! You finally joined?! I need more hints...

Get big fat a$$ to help Henderson to clog the DLine

Get 1 Olineman that you can run behind when you absolutely need 1 yard.

Get an impact MLB

THATS IT !!!

We already have that lineman in Manuwai. Hopefully he recovers nicely from his injury, but since he's more of a road grader than a finesse player, I don't see it impacting his play too much.

Although I wouldn't mind landing Duke Robinson. That guy is phenomenal.

Daryl Smith is a true MLB. He has been asked to play out of position the last 4 years. I think moving D. Smith back to the middle would really help this team.

Mike Pete was more effective when we had the twin towers clogging the middle and forcing the running back to the outside. He could use his speed and run the play down. Now with the middle being a little soft, Pete is being exposed a little. D. Smith has 15 lbs on Pete and seems to fight off blocks better. It wouldn't be oposed to making this change right now, but for sure next year we should have a better MLB in D. Smith.
