| | DG: Bull. He threw close to or into coverage half a dozen times this game, trusting the WR to get the thing done. I do not get your statement that he is afraid to throw interceptions. Joe Zelenka can't snap the ball worth the dang. Fool. Brian Witherspoon can run a 3.9 but fumbles once every 9 plays only if he is inside our 15 yard line, which totally screwed our whole season up. Thanks Brian Witherspoon for almost putting a nail in the coffin. Unless I am mistaken that was his first fumble. The way he did not tuck the ball was indeed questionable but sticking the fork in by one mistake? Sure... Else your observations are quite correct. You forget the playcalling though. The D stepped up in the second half but the running game playcalling to say the least was unimaginative and in my opinion bad. When your OL is obviously incapable of opening the lanes and your runners get stuffed up center time and time again you do not keep trying, you adapt. I recall two running plays designed not go through the center. Where were the slants that used to be quite successful (besides that MJD drop obviously)? The way our QB and WR seemed to click in the second half we should maybe not have totally abandoned the run but switched to a passing focus - the Browns secondary looked very ineffective. I point my finger of blame not at Gregg Williams, this time Dirk Koetter has to take some heat. The D put up the stops in the second half and kept Cleveland to two field goals. That stop at the one yard line was what we usually want to see. The 'one time' misassignment that happened against Houston is reproducing, either I am blind or our pocket is beginning to look like a sieve - I see missed assignments and bad blocking. DG is quickly becoming the new Big Ben - and I guess that at least some of the claims that DG is locking onto a receiver and missing the open guy might be related to him not having the time other OLs give their QB. |

| To the OP- that was funny. Vent man- let it out. Reading your analysis, I laughed, I cried, I peed a little.

| I enjoyed it too. Vent baby. The ones snorting the teal powder won't but a well deserved rant to a team who underachieved (again!!!) after 2 weeks prep time on a team they clearly looked past. Some defend JDR, some don't. The buck has to stop somewhere, it it starts with Jack Del Ego then goes downhill.
I can't discuss **** or **** because I am on double secret probation. | |

| No actually Witherspoon fumbled during the preseason, and Vic immediately said that he is going to have to fix the way he carries the ball b/c its too loose.
| I still love Morten Anderson! | |
