At 3-4, the Jags are 13th in the conference and will be 14th next week if Indy wins, the Jags lose, and the Raiders win. That's 14 out of 16 teams folks.

Realistically, these games look like wins: Bengals and Lions.

These games look like losses: Titans, Bears, Vikings, Colts, and Ravens.

The Packers and Texans are toss-ups.

Even if the Jags win both toss-ups, that's 7-9, folks, which is what it looks like right now.

With a conference record of 3-4, the Jags are worse than every AFC team but the Texans, Raiders, Chiefs, and Bengals.

That means they'll have to climb over the Titans (5-0), Steelers (5-0), Bills (3-1), Colts (2-1), Patriots (3-2), Ravens (4-3), Jets (3-3), Browns (2-2), Dolphins (3-3), and Chargers (3-3), and they've already lost or will likely lose tie-breakers with the Titans, Bills, Colts, Browns, and Ravens.

It ain't happening, folks.

Ain't NOTHING that is impossible unless you are speaking strictly for yourself, in which case YOU are the limiting factor.

Still, it does not look good.

Realistically, we would only have to jump over about half of those teams....that is unless we want the number 1 seed!

However, conference records only come into play when deciding a tie breaker for a playoff spot.  This would require all of those teams to finish as good or better in overall record to the Jags.  While I think the chances just got much slimer I don't think your logic makes it as impossible and dire as you would have it seem.

That is a good point, but my point is that we could well be 14th in a 16 team conference by this time next week.

i don't see us losing to bears,vikings,ravens.

I think we lose to the colts, packers.

Toss-ups are Texans/titans IMO

and we should easily defeat lions/Bengals.

This is what i hate about you guys, you lose all faith and start pointing fingers after a loss. Yeah, jags shouldve won that game, but just because they didn't doesn't mean they WONT make playoffs. Think giants wont make the playoffs cuz they lost to browns? Jags other 3 losses were to the 3 top teams in the AFC so im not panicing, if we lose one of our next two, i will start to question and point fingers, but as of now, we are 3-4 with basically only 4 good teams left on our schedule. If we win the games we're supposed to win and possibly upset the titans we can still go 10-6 or 9-7 which should get us in the playoffs.
