I thought when Garrard became the starting QB that the seats would be full... now its get Bill Cowher and that would fill the seats...
I wonder what will be next...

Wow does everyone hang on Mr. Bill Cowher's nuts? I like Coach too but all this staff changing is just going to delay a championship team for another 15 years. It took Bill Cowher a decade and a half to get 1 Super Bowl Title. I'm not waiting that long. I think Jack and our squad can bring a title here in the next year or so.
True, but how many seasons did the Steelers go to the playoffs in those 15 years?? Quite a few. They were contenders for many many years.

If not I'll explain this guy I used to work with was all about trying to get Bill Cowher as our head coach.

| | Replace JDR? C'mon, I'll almost buy into this TMD talk when you talk about poor drafting (I dont think Harvey and Groves were what we needed, though I supported the move) But to replace JDR? He is a good coach. Our team was in shambles early and our D is rediculously bad, that isn't JDR's fault. New system, no pass rush.... I'm going back to my dark room to pretend you people don't exist.

This team lacks the fire it needs to be a champion. Go out and get a proven WINNER! It starts with the top and oozes on down. Bill Cowher is a great coach and he turns players into GREAT players. Pay him what he wants and you will fill the seats with fans who WILL SEE a team that is kicking A** on Sundays. Problem solved. Yes, the most important thing the Jaguars need right now is a coach that doesn't want to coach, and then pay him money that the team doesn't have just because you said they should. And THAT will instantly sell tickets. Why aren't you working for the Jaguars with such a brilliant plan?

| | Another dumb thread. What is it with you guys down there? Is there some sort of virus going around? My God, you should have read the Steelers boards for years before the Super Bowl year. Steelers fans were continually demanding Cowher's retirement- he wasn't a "pressure" coach, he was an for playing Kordell Stewart, for playing and then benching Maddox, he couldn't game plan, he was too much of a "player's coach", he was a Rooney lackey, he wasn't really committed, etc, etc and on and on and on. I hope you get another couple pages of sarcastic responses. At least. |

| | actually, i think we do need another RB. i think RB is actually a pressing need. Taylor has seen better days, hes gotten old very quick and with an OL that cant get him the gaping holes that hes used to. ive been saying we should draft a RB, knowshon moreno and im sticking to that. |
