Yay, I like being average too. It's such a wonderful thing. This sucks, and if you like losing, go be a Texans fan. I like this team because they win and they fight. This isn't the team I fell in love with a couple years ago. This is average...actually, it's worse than average. We are the St. Louis Rams. We are the Cardinals of the past 10 years. It's sad. I love this team, this city, our stadium, etc....but I don't like HOPING, or SETTLING for something. This is a blue collar team, and right now, they're sitting on their azz. Oh, what a big man you are. Whatever that means. You go be satisfied with high school performance and play calling. I'll be upset. It doesn't mean I'm any less a fan than you, and trust me, I'm not. I'm positive I'm more supportive than you. I just don't like being average. I'm not average myself. This team hasn't been average in a long time. If you're okay with what they are right now, you're a loser too. Ehhh, you're an average poster...at best. This team suits you, I suppose. Come on baby, I'm better than average....but like this team, maybe I perform average and think I'm better??

| It's not even about being average, if we were an average team with average players, then fine. But we are not. We have very talented players, emerging stars with David and Matt Jones (can't believe what a turn around he is having. Go MATT!!). But I am so pissed, because we can be so much better. We should be! We should easily be 7-0 or 6-1. But we aren't. And mainly because our defense can't stop anyone. And our run game not being there doesn't help. But could you imagine our offense with a run game? Exactly, we should have it and what a sight it would be. We, the people who are pissed aren't mad because we are having a bad year, we're mad because we shouldn't be having this bad of a year! With the talent on this roster, and yes we do have talent, regardless of some haters, we should be having a much better year. And we aren't, and it's very upsetting.

I will work on narrowing my horizons to the point that a sports team winning or losing will control my happiness. I guess I just don't have those types of mad skills. Are you telling me if the Jags were to lose to the Bengals next Sunday... you will not be with the mass of people that will meet on top of the Modis building Monday morning...

| | Believe me, I know what it's like being a fan of a team that went through a few glory years and is now trying to rise from the ashes of sub-mediocrity. I'm a Husker fan. Calling for people's heads and demanding answers for why the team is performing sub-par doesn't make one any less of a fan. Shrugging and saying, "Oh well" does. By the way, trivia question for MJD=MVP if you're reading this thread. "I refuse to let this program gravitate toward mediocrity." Who said it? |

I love this team, every play that even looks like its about to bust open i get giddy. This loss has just depressed me, and Ill probably be in a bad mood all week long and theres nothin I can do about it. I live in Illinois so I can't go to games, but if I was in Florida I'd do everything I possibly could to get to games. I don't understand how we don't have a waiting list 10,000 people long for season tickets.
Anyways, now that I'm done whining... We really should have won that game. A combination of the blocked kick and fumbled kick return IMO were the difference in the game. Just tiny little things seem to be getting us in each loss we've had. We're so close despite not even being able to run the ball for most of the year. We have a very good team here, and if we can get rid of these freakish little mistakes I think we can still pull out a playoff berth

I guess I just don't have those types of mad skills. \ It isn't that man....that our life depends on it, but it's something I spend a good amount of money on...a great amount of time supporting, etc. I like to see them do well. I feel involved.....and I want the best of it. I'm not going to tie myself to a chair and burn myself with cigarettes, but I'm disappointed in a less than average performance, as should anyone who watched that. Cigarettes ! oh heck no .I'm using road flares.Oh crud.there goes the carpet again.

| jags fan_since 96 (10/26/2008)
I live in Canada, and believe me, there aren't many Jaguars fans up here. I often times find myself getting the "what a loser cheering for a loser team no one cares/knows about" treatment. I am proud to say that I can truly call myself a Jaguars fan, something that several people here can't do. Living in the Netherlands is much the same but instead it's the "what a loser cheering for a loser sport no one cares/knows about" treatment. But I have to say I'm slowly turning my friends into Jaguars fans and they can actually tell the outcome of a game by reading my body language on Monday morning. Unfortunately I don't have any Jags gear I can wear. But I've been trying to get my hands on some stuff.
I always come to my conclusions by careful, scientific observation.
But only if the results of said careful, scientific observation fully corroborate my biased opinion. If It Ain't Dutch, It Ain't Much
If It Ain't Teal, It Ain't Real | |
