I admit when Anderson Silva first rose to the top of MMA I thought he was a great chmapion. Make no bones about it the guy can fight. However, I am sick of his attitude in the oval. Nothing would satisfy my MMA fix more than to see someone knock him slap the "blank #2" out. Maybe "blank #2" will take him down. Anyhow, I hate seeing MMA mocked and scorned by some guy who thinks he is bigger than the fight. Just remember Mr Silva... there is always someone badder than you and you could show a little more respect for the sport and title you hold. What are your thoughts on the fight & Silva as a person? Did not see the fight last night, but read a lot. From what I gather he was a pompous *** during the fight. It really surprises me actually. Anytime I have seen him in interviews and such he is such a respectful, grounded person. I did read earlier this week that White offered him a chance to fight again before this year is up. My guess is that maybe he did what he did to stay away from any damage so that he could fight again in less than two months. Either way, his antics seemed uncalled for. Pompous ***??? I guess training for your opponent like he was the best ever, saying nothing but respectful things to your opponent, bowing to your opponent, extending your hand to a downed opponent, and apologizing to the crowd for what started out as a great technical fight ended with a freak injury makes him a pompous *** now.
You always talk about reading comprehension. Try it please. You didn't call Silva a pompous ***??? In JJ's defense, he said he DIDN'T see the fight, but gathered from things he had READ, that whom ever Silva is was a pompous *** during the fight. Meaning it was other people's opinions. He never stated if it was his or not. Forgive him he has problems with comprehension. If he actually comprehends something, he will argue that it is wrong.
