First Tom brady admitted his left knee became infected and he needed surgery just to clean it out - three times at two hospitals. Now the Colts are trying to deny the recent report that Peyton Manning had a second surgery to clean out an infection, saying he had his first surgery for that. And how many times have we read about a Browns tight end recently being hospitalized for three days lbecause of staph?

Reading about three staph cases in the same month - although one happened back in August, if not earlier - makes me wonder if we are seeing a bad trend or just bad luck. After Kellen Winslow was released I read he was the seventh Browns player in recent years to suffer a staph infection, so if Manning and Brady did not get that, I would assume it was just a Browns problem. But Manning and Brady are not Browns players, so obivously it goes beyond Cleveland.

Any guesses or theories about this?

I found this on WebMD.com:

A couple of recent outbreaks among football players began when one team member had a boil, and the infection was spread to other team members.

The staph infection is contagious if the wound is weeping or draining, and if people share towels or other items that are contaminated.

Looks like it is not a coincidence 7 Browns players had staph infections.

But that does not explain what happened to Mike Walker, the only Jaguar to report an infection, or Peyton Manning, who had surgery to clean out his infection.

So are you disagreeing with yourself now?

It's not like anyone ever knows what you're talking about, so you might as well have a conversation with yourself.
