| I wanna laugh at their patheticness, but due to the truly hideous nature of their slime I cannot bring myself to.
The Mad Dog (2/24/2008) Had I started in 2003, This team would have seen a SB by now.
Starting from right now, with the team in it's current state, I could have this team in a SB within 2 years/ seasons. | |

Folio Weekly is beyond rank fish wrap. It is truly the biggest piece of garbage ever to soil our local landscape. In their 10-21-08 Issue entitled "Hope Against Hope", Folio has an article with their "2008 Best of..." for Jacksonville. For the category of "Best Reason to Diss the Jaguars", they list, ready for this? "They get shot." You mealy-mouthed, slacked jawed cowards. Richard Collier dang near loses his life, does lose his football career due to a leg amputation and paralysis, and you slimeballs put that in your waste of ink, dung-laced, oft-not read, free-cause-who-would-buy-such-tripe, journal. I'm avoiding all political takes here, but any Jaguar fan who ever patronizes any of those businesses which advertise in Folio should cease now and forever. I'm all for free speech. But, "let everybody know," it ain't right. It's just cowardly player-hate. That publication is a liberal piece of trash.

| | The articles in the folio are completely useless garbadge 99% of the time. The only reason I pick them up is for concert information. The guy who writes the section about the jaguars is nothing but a jag hater. Folio weekly is located at- 9456 Phillips Highway, Ste. 11. Jacksonville, FL 32256. Phone: (904) 260-9770 It would be hilarious if some people decided to hold a protest or something... Maybe call Ken Amaro |

| The Folio has had it in for the Jaguars for years. It's their opinion that the team "steals" from the taxpayers and "doesn't give back" to the community. They never miss an opportunity to take a shot at the team or the Weavers. They seem to think that the city is worse off for having the NFL here, and that if they weren't here, there would magically be enough money to support local education and the arts scene (which is really why they hate the Jags- they supposedly keep people uninterested in the "finer things", which is an ic assertion). They fail to see or choose to ignore all the good that the team and the NFL does for this city. Why can't we be both a big-time sports city and a great arts and performing city? Does it have to be an either/or proposition? what happened to people being well-rounded and involved in a little bit of everything?
Regardless, I wouldn't expect them to make light of another human being being shot, paralyzed and maimed for life though. That's unconscionable and inexcusable. I'm shocked that such a callous statement was allowed to make print, especially since they're supposed to be such a bunch of bleeding hearts. I guess that only applies to things and people they deem "worthy" of their compassion. It appears those turds need to be flushed, and put out of business.
Someone should take it a step further; locate and complain to the print shop that presses their rag, and whomever pays for it.
If any of you own, manage or work in establishments that carry Folio, tell them (or get your manager to tell them) "thanks but no thanks" on the next delivery day, and tell the delivery guy why. Then, tell them never to darken the doorstep of your business again.

Yeah, but I wouldn't consider Folio "media." They're about a step above some emo kid spouting off on a Live Journal blog. If any of those hacks could make it at a real print or internet media outlet, they wouldn't be at the "poor man's Village Voice" that is the Folio Weekly.
