| | A 12-year-old girl named Mimi from Bend, Oregon, has made it her mission to help feed animals at local shelters. In 7 months time, over 31 tons of food have been donated to animal shelters, simply by people logging on to two web sites and answering daily trivia questions. She is sponsored by Castor and Pollux, Zootoo, Petco, and PetSmart. Her organization is non-profit; her mom and dad helped build the websites, and she, her parents, and her friends come up with the daily trivia questions. She's appeared on numerous shows (like the Today show) to promote her cause. | My penguins are hibernating. The avatar I had immediately after they went to sleep was immediately removed because it was deemed offensive. We must stop fast food icon on fast food icon violence! After that, I went through a couple others before settling on this one. I may wake the penguins back up.
