| Stigma (10/13/2008) Assuming that Greg Hardy, George Selvie and Everette Brown all come out as Jrs to join the two Sr DEs Brian Orapko and Michael Johnson, rank these 5 DEs in the order they will be drafted. Is there another DE that will sneak ahead of these five DEs? 1. Greg Hardy 2. Brian Orakpo 3. Everette Brown 4. George Selvie 5. Michael Johnson That's how I rank them in how I like them I'm not sold on Johnson. Selvie I believe will be a 34 OLB because I don't think you can add weight to him because I don't believe he has the frame to add the necessary weight and keep his speed.

I think all 4 will be drafted ahead of Everette. It's not a knock on Everette either. The only one I'm not sure on is Michael Johnson. Johnson looks like Gaines Adams but doesn't play like him. I'll see him go against FSU's freshman tackles in a couple weeks and I'll have a better idea of what he can do.
Right now I'd go..
Hardy
Selvie
Orapko
Johnson
Everette
Another Junior who is really doing well is Aaron Maybin (6-4 245) of Penn State. He has 8 sacks on the year and 12.5 TFL. He could shoot up the draft boards.

| Michael Johnson is falling off a bit. Calais syndrome. A former backup turned starter and he is playing a lot of snaps. He isn't really producing.
Orakpo is a stud. Not quite at a Merriman level, but that is the kind of player he is. Hybrid player. As is Selvie, maybe he is more of a Gaines Adams, we'll see. He is playing well, but he isn't producing at a Selvie-level. But the man is triple teamed regularly.
Greg Hardy is a real solid player. |

| | Teams like the Dolphins and the Browns are going to fall in love with Michael Johnson. Here are my rankings: 1. Greg Hardy - Ole Miss 2. Michael Johnson - Ga. Tech 3. George Selvie - USF 4. Brian Orapko - Texas 5. Everette Brown - FSU So if the Jags are drafting late in Rd 1, would you be disappointed if the Jags took Everette Brown to team with Harvey and Groves at the DE spot? Do you think that Everette Brown can beef up to 265 - 270 Lbs over a couple of years? (I am of the opinion that the Jags must continue to strive to upgrade the pass rush. I do not think that Reggie Hayward will ever be the same pass rusher he was prior to the injury.) |

The who jumped and missed Skinner was Markus White not Everette Brown.

I do think Everette has the frame to get to 260+.
I would, however, want a DT in round one and not Everette (unless Reggie Hayward or Spicer are not brought back for some reason).

| | Everette Brown seems to have the frame to add 10-15 pounds and get to 265-270 Brian Orakpo could also put on another 10 lbs to get to 270 Greg Hardy too has the fram to add weight George Selvie though does not, at 245 lbs. he is thin through the hips and if he did add 15-20 lbs he would lose speed, so I think his best situation in the NFL would be in a 3-4 as an OLB Michael Johnson is a good player with tons of potential, and I'm intrigued by that potential, but to me he's an enigma
