| Stigma (10/13/2008) If DeMarcus Granger - DT - Oklahoma comes out as a Jr., he would be an excellent value pick in Rd 2.I do like him, but he's had some character concerns that IMO have hindered his play, but there's no doubt he's a tremendous talent

im concerned about his injury situation and his character issues, that bum ankle has been hampering his play all year

In case anyone needs a clue.
Pick a number between 1 and 100, Add 52, Now subtract 7, Add 4, Subtract 13, Subtract the number you started with, Divide by 2, Add 7, Multiply by 4 then subtract 9 ... Viola there's your clue.
Sam
Priceless. | |

| What do you guys think of Oklahoma RS Soph. Gerald McCoy, 6'4" 295 lbs and seems to be an excellent player, any opinions?

Stigma (10/13/2008) If DeMarcus Granger - DT - Oklahoma comes out as a Jr., he would be an excellent value pick in Rd 2.im concerned about his injury situation and his character issues, that bum ankle has been hampering his play all year 05/19/08 - DT DeMarcus Granger has a pre-trial hearing scheduled for March 3 regarding his Fiesta Bowl-week arrest on shoplifting charges at a mall in Tempe, Ariz. Coach Bob Stoops suspended Granger and sent him home, but Stoops said he expected Granger to remain with the team in 2008. This might keep him out of Rd 1, but it won't keep him from getting drafted in Rd 2, where he would be a major value. If Granger declares, the Combine doctors will let everyone know the status of his ankle. To me he looked fine against the Longhorns. |

| | I agree with this guy that posted it the other day and Stigma that I would really consider taking Tyson Jackson as a DT At 6-4 or 6-5 and close to 300 lbs., he could grow into a very good pass rushing DT and he is already very strong at the point, he could be a very good DT in a 43 D

Both are required to stuff the run. The Jags need to have some flexibility in their Dline, such that when they need to stop a short yardage play their DEs need to be DTs. Tyson Jackson is never going to be much of a pass rusher, but as a DT, he should be able to create some penetration. |

Best pro prospect at DT in the country...you'll probably have to wait until '10 to get him.
Good year in the making in '10 for DTs. Gerald McCoy, Vincent Oghobasse (could come out this year, but his numbers aren't great), Marvin Austin... |

| I am still really fluid on the mock draft scenario's but I am putting together a little something. Here are my First Three, with options.
1. Fili Moala, DT, USC
Big body with room to grow. Will most likely have 35+ starts at the end of this year. Isn't the answer at interior pass rush, but can absorb two blockers and still hold the point. Think John Henderson lite.
I also like Victor Harris, CB Virginia Tech, and I want to see more of Evander Hood, DT, Missouri.
2. Antoine Caldwell, C, Alabama
Big, mean nasty O-Lineman that I think would fit in well with the scheme that Jacksonville uses. Gets out in space well enough and has the ability to blow people off the ball.
I also like Pannel Egboh, DE/DT, Stanford and Brandon Tate, WR, North Carolina
3. Patrick Chung, SS, Oregon
Probably more of a LB than a true SS, but has racked up a huge amount of tackles in his time at college. Big time production as a Special Teamer as well. A bit undersized, but is not afraid to throw his body around.
I also like Rhett Bomar, QB, Sam Houston State and Bear Pascoe, TE, Fresno State.
Go heavy early.
You do not maintain perfection, you work for it everyday.

| | I dont know about Fili Moala, I tend to believe he's more of a pass rushing DT than a runn stuffer I like other people here, really like Duke DT Vince Oghobaase Gerald McCoy reminds me of Vikings DT Kevin Williams I brought up the Tyson Jackson at DT thread, I would think that'd be a good idea with JaxJag_1 and Stigma
