its crazy to me how jags fans actually say their team is going to lose... i never think the jags are going to lose until i see it....

You have to be realistic. Because only the 1972 Dolphins won every game from the first week to the Super Bowl, it would not make any sense to expect any NFL team to do what the Patriots did last year. (For the record, New England lost Super Bowl 42.) I know either team can win or lose and don't like betting on games very much. However, Denver has the #2 offense right now with Jay Cutler throwing to Brandon Marshall, Brandon Stokley, and rookie Eddie Royal. The fact that Selvin Young can't play means we will watch a different running back, but does that really mean fewer rushing yards? Broncos fans are more concerned about Tony Sheffler's replacement than Michael Pittman, the backup running back. Wtihout Nelson and Florence, what reason is there to expect the Jaguars to completely shut down the Broncos offense that scored 39 points against San Diego and 42 against New Orleans?

I have confidence in my team's ability to force turnovers, pick up first downs, make field goals, get into the end zone, etc. But I also know being overconfident is not a good idea. Jay Cutler was criticized on Denver's message board for saying he has a better right arm than John Elway did when he was 25. Fans are calling him ".." You don't want to act like that while expressing faith in your team's ability to win in Denver.

I am confident about our chances of winning because any given Sunday or Monday it is 50 percent. Proof of that is Super Bowl 42. Who would have guessed the team representing the NFC was not Green Bay or Dallas, or that New England would lose? That is where my hope lies - knowing no team is more or less likely to win than any other because it is always 50 percent.

I always think the Jags can win, but I know sometimes they won't. It's all about momentum and how consistent a team can be. The D looked somewhat good in the second half last week and I think they build on it, but another close loss.

Denver 24

Jacksonville 21

Proud Jags fan in Iowa!

Broncos 28, Jags 20

Last painful game before the bye, after which the return of Nelson, Meester and Walker helps shore things up into the easy stretch of the schedule.

Jaguars 27
Broncos 24

If the Broncos had Sheffter & a healthy Eddie Royal, they'd probably drop 40 on the Jags today....

But they don't, so they won't.

Jags should be able to run the ball as effectively as week 3 vs. Indy today as the Broncos run D isn't that much better.

Jerry Porter will show up and even get a TD.

Derrick Harvey will again finish this game without a QB sack.

Congratulations to the 2008 WORLD Champions, your Philadelphia Phillies!

Scobee kicks another field goal in the dying minutes to win it.
