Either way Shamrock is a nobody as far as fighting MMA goes anymore. Elite will still have a lot of work to do to stay alive even if Kimbo wins.

I think Shamrock gets beat like a drum.  It's been a long time since I've seen him do anything to impress anyone.  If he can get Kimbo to the ground it's possible he wins but that begs the question, "Will Kimbo submit?"  I could really see this guy letting his leg/arm/etc get broken before tapping.  Maybe we'll see tonight.

Shamrock was quoted in the article that he wants to control it with his stand up, and somewhat questions whether he could take Kimbo down. I would think with experience alone, on both sides, that Shamrock could take him down rather easily, particularly mid 1st round on.

I thik Shamrock is throwing some distractors out there, and his game plan is really to take him to the mat. Time'll tell.

All I know is I've seen Shamrock knocked silly by lesser punchers.

If Kimbo doesn't do that, then he is the one in trouble.

As for Kimbo not submitting.  Well, he'll submit once a limb is broken, especially if Shamrock, who is good at attacking the legs, can heel hook Kimbo into oblivion.  If it's a choke, he'll have to choke the big boy unconscious which shouldn't be a problem if it's locked in good and tight.

However, this all depends on Shamrock getting it to the ground, not getting destroyed by some heavy Kimbo hands, AND, if Shamrock doesn't gas out.

I'm hoping Paul Daley from the UK can get a win over Jake Shields tonight, although his lack of BJJ skills may get exposed if it goes to the ground. Is Arlovski fighting?
