| JaxJagsForever (9/30/2008) How about $76,000 because of his number? If we can't do that, $7600.The only problem I have with that is this: If someone out there knows something, and isn't saying anything because there isn't a big enough reward for them? That's disgusting. I think they would need to be punished in some way too. I'm working on something as we speak to honor Big Rich

Again, know you are all in our hearts and prayers...Misti |

| | Just wanted to give a shout-out for Richard Collier. Many of us in the Steelers fanbase are heartbroken for him and his family. God be with him and his family. And may justice find the worthless POS that did such a horrible thing to him. |

| | this is heart breaking and I hope this gives ALL the motivation for the team to go out there and pound on anyone that is in there way. I also hope Collier somehow makes a speedy recover and attends the Jaguars game to give them extra momentum and all the will power to rattle the team at our house of Teal....that would be extra nice....especially against the DOLTS at ease Collier...best wishes to him, his family and the whole jaguar team... |

| I cannot possibly fathom what I would do if I were in Collier's place. He is young and I am sure the will to survive pulled him through this and he will only continue to get stronger as he decides what he wants to do with his life. He fought to be an NFL player where you have to have not only physical strength but mental strength as well. He'll come through this and show those who did this to him that they won't keep him down.
"That was really the difference," Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio said. "If we don't give up that play, it's probably a little bit different feeling right now." "The Broncos were chewed up and spit out by the Jaguars for the fifth game in the nine the teams have played - including the most famous upset." Woody Paige | |

| Collier probably will use the same fighting spirit that took him to the NFL because it was not taken away from him. The left leg is not your brain or your heart, so you're able to keep fighting without it. The difference is instead of fighting for a better 40 yard dash time, Collier is trying to learn a new skill that is equally challenging. He is getting ready for discharge. I think Shands will let Collier go home as soon as there is confidence in his ability to take care of himself. He knows if he can go from being a Wal-Mart clerk to a Jaguars player, he can continue to live a normal life and do a lot that previously was never thought possible.

| | I'll tell you what has bothered me and that's the smallish amount of the reward money put up for information on the shooter(s). I would expect the players to chip in a bit more than $25,000 for the reward, which is roughly 2 hundredths of a percent of the Jag's payroll. A 2 million dollar a year player makes approximately $117,000 per week before taxes. I don't want to criticize how someone else spends their money it's just odd to me the reward money is not more given the industry Big Rich is in. Regards.............the Chiefjag

I'm working on something as we speak to honor Big Rich There is a risk that goes with a reward. (Repercussions for betrayal of an ally, fear of repraisals from the assailants freinds, fear for the safety of your family to name a few.)
If the reward is not high enough, one might be reluctant to accept the risk. This is true in most aspects of life.

You are under the assumption that Big Rich was a stand up guy off the field. Just think of the liability and scorn that Mr. Weaver would receive if say, he put up $1,000,00.00 and Collier was involved in some form of illegal activity that got him shot.

Just think of the liability and scorn that Mr. Weaver would receive if say, he put up $1,000,00.00 and Collier was involved in some form of illegal activity that got him shot. DO NOT go there. We have NO reason to think he was involved in anything illegal. He is a victim here and there is no excuse for what was done to him so don't go portraying him as a possible bad guy. This is not the time or the place for it and I refuse to allow that thought to enter my head until something is proven otherwise. The media is good enough at assuming guilty until proven innocent, the fans don't need to chime in! And as far as the money, we have NO idea what the Jaguars are doing for Richard. For all we know they may be contributing to a fund which may set him up for life. He is going to have permanent and exorbitant medical bills for the rest of his life and perhaps people feel donating money to Richard and setting up a fund for him to care for himself takes priority over adding to a reward for his attackers capture. People who know something about the attack and have any sort of soul or conscience should be speaking up w/o expecting a reward. We have no right to judge anyone and we don't know what's going on.
