I'm glad he is alive, but all in all, that's some really sad news.

I hope collier can make the best recovery possible for him..

paralyzed from the waist down...

yes, it's a terrible shame / crime..... but looking positively - he's still alive and functional from the waist up, right?

he could have been killed or even remaining in a vegetative state for the remainder of his life...

Devastating but not as devastating as it could have been. Still, it strikes me as very sad and I wish big Rich the best in his recovery and life.

Hey, guys. I heard this terrible news today. As a Redskins fan, this tragedy hit pretty close to home and I had been hoping to hear some updated on his condition. Unfortunately, the update wasn't the type of news anybody wanted to hear.

I just wanted to stop by and let you guys know that fans from football teams all over the nation are sending their thoughts and/or prayers to Richard and his family.

We can at least be thankful that it sounds as though he'll pull through, but it's awful for a young life to be changed so drastically.

Good luck to you guys the rest of the season.

Have they found the scum responsible?

Sigh...a guy can't even go out without having to watch his back.
