the Panthers last year lost Delhomme and down went their season and upon his return they're on fire!!!

since we lost both G's. our NB and good ST player. our C for most of the year. and our FS and OLB are now injured (not permanently though) and yet we're still winning. lets think of how good we'd be upon their return!

add in 1st and 2nd round picks contributing and a developed Harvey and Groves. along with a good FA acquisition or two.

the 2008 Jags are looking good but the arrow is pointing WAY! up for 2009 so we have that to look forward to!!! so everyone stop acting like the sky is falling we'll be better next year at the least and we're still winning now!

Ya but some key guys won't be getting any younger........Like Paul Spicer, David Garrard, Fred Taylor, John Henderson.....I'm not saying the sky is falling I'm just throwing that out there

Wow.  The GM is now "cow manure".  It's "not personal" though, right TMD?  You are truly a douche.

thats true. but in one year the drop off won't be THAT significant but it will have an impact.

but IMO a developed Harvey and Groves can pick up what Spicer drops off. I don't think Garrard will regress and neither will Taylor (after next season he may though) and I actually think 2009 will be Big John's best season since he hasn't exactly been himself since the start of the 2007 season for some reason.

I understand the age concept but I don't think it'll be so overwhelming that it will counteract the things we will improve on now.

IMO we're still good this year. This sounds too much to me like you've given up on this year (I know you said you hadn't) but it sounds like it.
I think we can still easily make the playoffs and go all the way

Jaguars next Superbowl champions! Bring it.

haha yea, it sounds that way but belive me I think the 2008 Jags are getting the #5 spot at the least and I'm just pointing out that if we have the potential to go deep into the playoffs this year (which we do and I'm pumped about!!!) then just imagine next year we'll be able to go even farther!!!

I beleive in now but I also beleive 2009 can be an even bigger year for us even though 2008 has the potential for some magic with us just getting started last week.

sorry if I came off as one of the fair weather fans I just wanted to point out to them that the sky is not falling and it won't for a few years based on the potential brewing for next year's team

I haven't heard any new updates either, but I'd assume he and Mincey are probably close to, if not 100% because there was talk by Jack that they were very close at the end of August.

But Chad along with George Wrighster and Jeremy Mincey are on the PUP list

Nkang and Mincey both have those wrist injuries and both should be back Week 7 (Our Bye Week) as that is the earliest they can return should be activated, I expect Jimmy Kennedy to get cut when Mincey returns and and OL getting cut, maybe Todd Wade or Charles Spencer gets IR'ed, when Nkang gets back because by that time Brad Meester should be healthy. (Now all this is assuming we don't have any other players put on IR to open up roster spots in between now and week 7)

and I don't expect George back because his ACL surgery was last December

Our ST units will be even sicker when Chad gets back too!

Who are Mincey and Spencer? Are they good enough to stay in Jacksonville after a couple injured players get healthy again?

Now that you mention it, I do realize Nkang has been invisible recently. We got too busy talking about other injured players and I totally forgot about him.
