Just a little off topic, but I have a question for Gator fans, what do you all think of Louis Murphy? He is high on a lot of draft boards, but what are his hands and route running like? I know he's real fast though. Thanks.

I'm not a huge fan of Murphy's.

And I agree with SEC teams wanting other SEC teams to succeed OOC. As a Florida fan, if UGA loses to ASU I'm ecstatic. I could care less about Ole Miss playing Wake for the pride of the conference

I would not draft Louis Murphy until the 6th round.

Or I know how to do:

ESPN.com, Florida Gators, UF vs. Michigan, play by play.

It's pretty simple. You should try it next time instead of talking out of your ***.

Like I said, too much time on your hands. No need to curse either, there are children on this board.

Nice spin.

Maybe next time, you won't make things up, eh?

Maybe next time you won't be such a hater, eh?

Dude, you are pretty much making stuff up.

To say that Harvin would be doubling Maclin's numbers is flat out ridiculous to the umpteemth degree.

I guess the contrary is that Maclin would be just an average WR in the awe-inspiring SEC.

.

This whole SEC-homer thing is one of the most illogical and down right strange things I have seen.

You have people out  there BRAGGING that the worst SEC teams would dominate conferences like the Big 12 or Pac 10.

1st of all-Uhhh, that's laughable.

2nd of all-WHO CARES how good (or not) those teams are?  To hear fools pound their chest about the conference their team is in is just silly.  Like making a point a lick of value.  WHO CARES!

I'm fairly sure that NFL or MLB franchises would be more than happy to be in a division where they have superior talent than their div. opponents.

Mkes no sense at all.

I thought it was obvious that was hyperbole. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I'd take Maclin over Harvin any day. And to suggest Maclin is only making those numbers because Chase Daniel is throwing to him indicates a belief that Daniels is a better passer than Tebow, who won the Heismann I might add.

Daniel is by far a better passer than Tebow.  Daniel is the most accurate passer in college football.  He translates to the pro-game purely because of his accuracy.

Figure being a Mizzou fella, I could chime in on this one.

First Chase Daniel is every bit of 5'11 and 220 he's big.  I've real close to the guy he's not but a tiny bit shorter than I am (I'm just slightly over 6').

Maclin is speed.  Maclin is route running, but he doesn't run the outside routes.  He does play the slot a lot and doesn't have to get off the jam as much as you'd like.

Probably 10% of his involvement is gimmick plays however, but the guy can flat out catch the football, as well as get open.  I know Mizzou isn't a power for football (until now, Thanks PINK!), and all the other games I watch are Big 12 for the most part, but I am telling you no one reads an entire field in college football like Daniel does.  So Maclin has that advantage.  Maclin is a game breaker, but look at what Daniel does for Jerad Perry and Tommy Saunders (Saunders was a walk on).

I haven't watched a ton of Florida so I cannot comment on Harvin, but Maclin runs good routes, but he doesn't have to beat the press.  He's faster than Crabtree but isn't as impressive a build.  Crabtree will win the body contest.  Maclin has more speed than Crabtree could ever have.  Maclin equates to a Steve Smith type player in the NFL I do believe.

Yeah I don't think Tebow is a good passer. He's a "playmaker" though and that's all Florida needs. But if Harvin had Daniel throwing to him and they ran a more traditional offense then I believe that Harvin would have numbers better than Maclin's.
