I think Fred has to put in at least another 2-3 years to get there. If he can get to the pro-bowl again this year(and last week's performance certainly helped), I think that helps.

One knock against him, is they are using Mojo more for Red Zone attempts, so that could hamper him.

I think the thing with Fred that can really help him is his YPC average is in the same neighborhood as Barry Sanders. If he doesn't have a significant drop off over the next year or two then that alone should be enough to get him in.

Realistically its less about Fred than it is the rest of the team. If we can't get people out of the box, and people are stacking 8-9 at the line, then he's not going to get many yards. I agree with Vic on this one, if we can't get teams to respect our WR's its going to be a VERY long year. If Porter/Williamson/Walker can start stretching the field that should help Fred immensely.

JMHO,

M

as long as Fred moves up the all time list, he'll get some serious attention....

he passed 3 more on the list in the game vs the Colts... wouldn't that put him at around #16 of all time and climbing still??

He could realistically get to 7th all time. It is amazing when you think about it.

Freddie T has gotten more national respect in 2007 & 2008 than he's gotten in his entire career.

If he can continue the pace for another 3 years, I believe he will get the vote.  If he retired after this season, I don't think he'd get the vote.

I got tons of love for Fred. I think he has a great chance this season to move up to 13th (thats where Edge is at now and he'll keep moving up of course). Today's football is corrupted by Fantasy Football with the emphasis on stats. I fear that people bar a RB's production on TD's anymore and in my opinion its a shame. I think Fred is getting the attention he needs to make his HOF push at a great time. People are noticing that at his age he still GETS THE JOB DONE! The thing that kills me is "the people" vote for Pro Bowlers, it seems HOF'ers are greatly weighted by PB selections, and if you have a majority of NFL fans playing FF and thus voting PB'ers, IMO it greatly skews the chances of Freddy getting in on a respective vote (not being alternate). Keep it up Freddy people are starting to see the light! For all you 1010xl listeners "thats my pest of the day" lol

I hope that made sense? lol

i bet that if he doesn't get injuried this year, he'll be voted to the pro bowl...he won't be an alternate.
