| Amen to that Chooch. I was coming on here to post the exact same thing!
D6 has to be elated today - I'm happy for him. Talk about a poorly-run franchise. Maybe now they can really start putting it together.

| I agree - he's driven (no pun intended to the FORD family) that team into the ground.
maybe things will look up for the Lions (well, starting next season perhaps?) |

| Millen has to be happy with what he has gotten away with. A lot of money to do no work.

Though firing Matt Millen was the logical decision, the same could have been said for years. For that reason, I was plesantly surprised when seeing that Millen was finally let go by WC Ford Sr, even after his son called for Millen's firing publicly two days prior. The likely downside to the situation is that there are 13 more games remaining. That's longer than the 12 game NFL regular season that was in place when the Lions last won an NFL Championship. Rod Marinelli is in an extremely difficult situation. He deserves better. How the players respond in the remainder of the season, despite the uphill battle, will help determine what the best course of action will be after the season. .

.
I think Rod gets fired after this season.. unless he posts a record of 8-8 or better. Millen hired him after all.
Rod should never have been a HC in my opinion. |
