Man now you got Spoon going in early and being a first rounder....

Man my Tigers are going to take a real hit next year huh.  Likely Maclin, Weatherspoon, and William Moore in the first round.  Chase Coffman in the first three rounds.  Add in Ziggy Hood, Chase Daniel, and Stryker Sulak.  The weak mid-western college might be sending 7ish guys into the NFL next season.  I love me some Gary Pinkel

Don't you think that Weatherspoon will leave early if he can be a Rd 1 pick?

Yes I think he will (obviously).  I'm not certain he's a round one pick yet, although his early play suggests he will be.  He's got the speed, quickness, and instincts.  I'm not sold on him as pure of a tackler as some linebackers.  He's a real good player, I had already pegged him coming out early anyway.

I'm also not sold I'd make him a first rounder just yet, although he's plenty close.  If I were strickly picking picks I would call him a early to mid-second rounder.  However, the linebackers out there aren't special so he could use that to jump up.  He's a play maker and that's more than just tackling, which he does fine, even though I suggested he not as good as some in my previous post.

I would still like for the team to go for the two lines in this draft. Maybe bring along a Center, a DT, and another Guard.

Regardless, it's a little too early for me to start with the draft talk anyway. Once October gets here, I'll be in full swing.

Michael Johnson a #3? I guess that makes sense, there really aren't that many more top flight DE's emerging just yet.

I think that this is going to be the year of the LB.

Johnson reminds me of Gaines Adams.

I don't know I'm not sold on Michael Johnson, he was never a full time starter 'til this season and he is weak vs. the run and what I've seen of him he doesnt have the best motor, and the reason for him being rated so high is based a lot on potential IMO

IMHO, James Laurenitis is vastly overrated.

Del Rio was right!
