| | I watched Apoctalypto again the other night and noticed just how much the Aztecs, Mayas and Incas worshipped the Jaguar as a god. Now I can't remember if in Apoctalypto if they were Aztecs, Mayas or Incas but I did notice ALOT of teal in their costumes when doing the sacrifices. So now we need some crazies to dress up as Aztec priest and warriors on Sundays and lets start calling the stadium the Duval Temple. NEZ could be the sacraficial chamber of the temple. Many have wondered in the past what we could come up with that wasn't like everyone else like the Jungle or black hole etc. Embrace the Jaguar's history and importance and it was right there all along. Just throwing it out there. I would post links to Wikepedia as to the importance and link to Apoctalypto but I am not allowed to post links as part of my parole.

The Apocalypto natives are Mayan, btw. Too many people in Jax would be offended by the concept of a pagan temple and worshiping the Jaguars as idols (implied). I would be one of them. "Thou shalt have no other Gods before me." Kind of the first commandment. I like the concept, I like the effort, but I cannot subscribe to the end result. If it were modified slightly to be more friendly to other religions it could work. But forgetting the Mayans, there were Jaguars native to this area of the US back in the Pleistocene Epoch (roughly 5,000 years ago) when the ancestors of the Timucuan were in the area and the Jaguar was just as important to them. No need to steal central American reverences for our stadium - we have Timucuans from our back door that we should use as models instead.

Off topic, but I've wondered this about your picture for a few days now...why does Mojo's head look so funny? Did you photoshop it or something? I like the picture, his head just looks oddly shaped.
