Anyone see Leftwich finish at QB forPitt.  I know Big Ben will be back, but how funny would it be if the Leftwich had to play QB against the Jags in two weeks.  Ol Lefty made a few good throws, but when it mattered on 4th down he threw a lame duck.  I for one would like see it happen.

I saw it.  Mechanics are still the same.  He's a sitting duck back there.  Not certain why the Steelers picked him up when they have protection problems.  That's not the guy they need back there.  He needs a pass oriented team that utilizes the shotgun and go 3-wide and spread the field.

Of course, I watched the game.  Big Ben was sacked like 8-9 times.  The offensive line stunk (just like we thought).  Other than the 1 touchdown, the Steelers Defense looked good.

Big Ben got hurt.  He hurt his hand, so they had to bring Mellon Head in.  Sandwich was the same old....same old.

Sandwich is only on the roster due to Charlie Batch being on IR for the year.

Why can't anybody admit that Leftwich actually looked good back there? He saw his first action of the season and was finding receivers. More than you can say about Lock-on Louie yesterday.

The Jaguars never built their team for Leftwich. If you put him behind Dallas' O-line, he would be a stud. If you put Romo behind our line, would people still be talking about him like he is the second coming?

Wow.  The GM is now "cow manure".  It's "not personal" though, right TMD?  You are truly a douche.

He had one sack in eight attempts on obvious passing downs, vs. Ben averaging one sack every four attempts.  Byron's no Dan Marino in the pocket, but he's not the human sack machine people make him out to be either.

This is only because the Igles went into the prevent.  On the one play that Philly did blitz, Leftwich got sacked....Neither Big Ben nor Leftwich will be able to do much if the Steelers OL does not dramatically improve and fast.

That's true. The Eagles were unstoppable against Pittsburg. That was one of those "kiss your splean good-bye" afternoons.

I thought Leftwich looked Ok. He moved the ball and was accurate on his passes. The fourth down play I thought should have been a FG if they hadn't used up all their time outs and it too was rushed and I knew before the ball was snapped it'd end up nothing.

It would be interesting to see what Leftwich could do starting a game. I haven't seen Big Ben's status but if I were the coach I'd be tempted to start Leftwich and let Big Ben rest and see how it goes.
