| We are not looking like a championship caliber team, to say the least.
We still have the next game to look forward to though.
If the Jags lose, everyone will assume all is right with the world, but if the Jags win?

BJORN TOURAQUE (9/16/2008) What rust did Manning shake by winning by a last minute field goal to the god awful Vikings?
You mean the 0-2 god-awful vikings that some "experts" had picked as a SB favorite for the NFC this year.......Hmmmmm......that scenario sounds awfully familar. ANy other teams that you know of that are now 0-2 and that were picked by some to have a "breakthrough" year and make the SB?
Anyone???
So you think with Vince Manuwai and Maurice Williams still playing the Jags wouldn't be 2-0? You're deluding yourself.
Right....I'm the one who is delusional. Fans of an 0-2 team are saying a 1-1 team is not that impressive because they beat, on a very off week with many injuries,a "bad" team that was picked to make the playoffs. You also have other fans on the NFL portion of the board saying BUFFALO IS NOT THAT GOOD WHEN THEY JUST BEAT YOU.
And no, I don't think the Jags would be 2-0 with them playing. You lost to Tenn last year the same way.
There I was thinking the Jags lost last year because they didn't have a kicker. Ah well.
I'm not dumb enough to think the Colts would have lost to the Bears if Manning had been able to participate with the team during the off-season.
But I guess you're dumb enough to believe losing the entire interior of the line doesn't affect the Jags at all.

| Funny, I thought the crux of the comment was Manning shaking off the rust not the Colts winning the game. Wouldn't shaking off the rust actually having played 60 minutes of lights out football? Please don't sell that game as Manning shaking off rust. That was your defense not breaking. Quit giving Manning a pass and respect your D.

Saturday, Ugoh and Lilja were all out last game. But of course I am sure that has nothing do do with Manning and the Colts struggling. But, they still are 1-1 and not 0-2. The Jags have a sub .500 record in the division with Del Rio as coach. That is not all because of injuries. Injuries is just the latest excuse. I am sure if they lose to the Colts, it will be some bad call and the game is fixed. Apprentely almost EVERY division game is fixed against the Jags. |

| I forgot that the Colts are a run-first team without a great QB...
Oh wait.

Oh wait. So missing OL affects a running team but not a passing team? Manning has taken more hits and more sacks this year than I can remember in a long time. The Colts have not been able to get many passes downfield because Manning has less time to throw. And the COMPLETE lack of a running game means teams are dropping everyone into coverage and just playing the pass. Injuries have been just as big for the Colts as for the Jags. And there is no part of the Colts game that does not need improvement right now. OL, DL, QB, WRs, special teams....none of it has been great and it all needs to improve for them to go anywhere this year. |

Quit giving Manning a pass and respect your D.Nobody is not giving the D respect. Um the guy had knee surgery and missed preseason and TC. I think he did shake off the rust finally. And he and the offense made the big plays to win the game. Our defense did help even when Bob went out and I give them credit. It took Manning a while to get back in sync with his guys. And Bob might have a high ankle sprain I hear so we may have to do without him for some more weeks. But, we own the Jags. |

Browns?
Chargers?
Seahawks?
Is this helping your Manning look any better for barely beating the Vikings? The same Vikings that couldn't do enough to give away the win to a Favre-less Green Bay?
OUCH!
I think I just burst my Bursa Sack laughing at you.

And I think the Packers without Favre look kinda better than most predicted. |
