Dylan Gandy - C - Denver Broncos Sep 9, 2008

Broncos waived G Dylan Gandy.
Gandy goes to make room on the roster for Brandon Marshall who is returning from a one-game suspension. Source: Denver Post

This player would be good Center depth if Norman has to move to Guard when Meester returns.

He has starting experience with the Colts and is still young enough to maybe have upside.

Now, this player is not coming from garbage O-lines like Milford Brown, Slaughter & Wade, so I am not sure Shack would be interested.

Shack seems to like OL that have either bounced around the league from some of the worst O-lines imaginable or OL that can't play anymore due to injury.

Gandy was cut because the Broncos needed to make room for Brandon Marshall on the 53.

No thanks.

No need for a zone blocking scheme guy on a team that doesn't use a zone blocking scheme.

Wait.  You didn't realize that?

Ooops.

Why didn't they cut a different OL man if he was so good? Or any other player for that matter. They guys are available because they were the lowest on the totem poll in whatever position they were heavy at.

He's probably just as much garbage as these others we picked up.

Give them a chance TMD. haha

I'm not insane. I'm Mr. Kane.

Who do we cut for Gandy then? One of the guys we just signed?

I dont know enough about this guy to know if he fits into the Jaguars blocking scheme.

He's a Center.

All I am saying is he might be good depth at the Center position if they decide to move Norman to Gaurd once meester returns.

They;ll probably HAVE to do that (Norman to G) when each of the 3 stooges Shack brought in, flops.

It is said that Gandy as decent athleticism & mobility, which is also akin to Meester, so he might be a nice option as a backup to Brad if Norman has to movefrom backup C to starting G.

Genius!

Pick a Bronco!

One that has been cut from there. TWICE!

Additionally, from your fellow internet genius's at the Bronco's boards:

Gandy comes from a pass happy offense in Indy...they don't play the ZBS and he's a horrible run blocker...did horrible during preseason.

I never said Gandy couldn't provide depth...

Gandy sucks in the ZBS...evidenced by his horrible preseason performances..

He's not reliable depth...just depth like Lichtensteiger...

I think 3 guys that play Center once Meester returns would be enough for depth....Meester, Norman, Nwaneri.

Better tell that to pirkster, he apparently thinks Indy runs a zone blocking scheme.

Gandy seems to have similar size/ atheticism/ attributes to Meester, so if Gandy's a bad fit for our system, I guess Meester is too.
