FSU is #1 on the list.

Link

No SEC teams on the list and a lot of ACC teams.

Playing UF every year has nothing to do with it either.

And Miami. And they played 'Bama last year. They have Colorado on the schedule this year. They wanted to play USF this year but USF declined. They have BYU next year. They have a home and away with Oklahoma in 2010-2011. West Virginia in 2013. They played Notre Dame in 2002 and 2003.

There's more, I just don't feel like looking it all up.

At Louisville and at Iowa St. when they had Seneca.

I just don't see how SEC teams need any OOC games to boost their strength of schedule.

Maybe the Pac-10, Big-12, and Big-11 should just squat in their regions playing non-BCS conference OOC games and just proclaim their conference is the toughest.

I bet Auburn of a few years ago agrees. You know, since they got passed over because they scheduled some 1-AA teams OOC instead of "real" teams.

The biggest problem is all these teams being ranked in the preseason. Does anyone think teams like Auburn, Alabama, Clemson, WVU, etc. will be Top 10 worthy at the end of season?

Like SCAR being ranked so high. They're bad, but because they're an SEC team with a little hype they start out in the Top 20.

If you really think Auburn didn't make it to the NC game because of a weak schedule than you are much more ignorant when it comes to college football than I thought was even possible. Wow.

And I never said UF was the sole reason that FSU was at the top, but it doesn't hurt them to play a top 15 program every season.

And all this list gives a good amount of information, it only ranks how many BCS schools a team has played. If you look through some of those team's schedules over the years, they play terrible BCS team (see Iowa)

Really?

Let's look at Iowa's BCS OOC games since 2002, excluding the rivalry game vs. ISU:

@ Pitt - Terrible, right?
Syracuse - bad team, scheduled years in advance
@ Syracuse - see above
@ Arizona State - Terrible, right?
Arizona State - Terrible, right?

And to throw in a non-BCS game:

Miami (OH) - Ranked No. 15 at the time, Roethlisberger's final season

Let's compare that to UF's BCS OOC games, excluding the rivalry game vs. FSU:

Miami
@ Miami
Miami

I guess I was out of place to say that UF always has a terrible OOC schedule?

They played ASU when it was coming off a 7-6 and 7-5 season. Syracuse is thrown out for "years in advance." I must have not been aware of the time ASU was a nat'l power but slipped to sub .500 records when Iowa rolled around. They played Miami (OH) coming off a 7-5 season and Miami (OH) lost its only game to a team that was worth a **** that season. And Pittsburgh?!?! You are right. They are terrible.

Again, Miami is even better than those games combined. UF also played UCF, which was coming off an 8-5 season.

The UF OOC schedule is by no means great, but no team was playing a tougher OOC game year in and year out than UF during the '90s except for Miami/FSU.

And for those people who understand college football and aren't just pushing across an agenda, the ONLY reason Auburn isn't in the championship game is because of the polls.

Before UF jumping UM, it was rare that any team was dropped without suffering a loss. not that it mattered in this case, as the preseason #1 and #2 teams in the country both went undefeated. Auburn was 17th and 18th. If Auburn starts the year 2nd instead of OU, you think they get in the game? Apparently not Alfie.

And I just want to add:

HAHAHAHA at Alfie claiming Pitt isn't terrible.

They opened the season with a loss against Bowling Green, then needed a 10-point fourth-quarter rally to beat Buffalo. They are also 17-20 since the beginning of the '05 season.

I think playing schools like Miami, @ Colorado, Alabama, etc. has 99% more to do with it than playing UF every year, else UF would be on the list too since they play FSU every year... right?

OOC schedule! OOC schedule! Who gives a crap? When was the last time the ACC produced a champion outside of FSU?

Wow! FSU made a list for playing challenging OOC games. So when was the last time anyone considered the ACC the best football conference? Big 12, Big 10, SEC, Pac 10 > ACC. I guess we should be impressed by the fact that FSU has the cojones to play Alabama and Colorado, but we should just overlook the fact that they also played Duke and UNC?

Didn't they lose out in the computer polls because of a weak schedule?

UF hasn't been a Top 15 team on a consistent basis in a long time. Don't rewrite history.

Playing at Pitt is a terrible OOC game?

You guys just don't get it. It's the fact that they do not play OOC games against BCS conference teams.

I didn't realize FSU had the choice of whether or not to play Duke and UNC.

Actually, we generally don't play UNC anymore, but I have a feeling their program is going to be on the rise with Butch as the HC.  Watch out for them in a few years.
