| rfc17 (9/8/2008) next years draft will be a lot stronger if Andre Smith and Ciron Black both come out early.
Michael Oher and Eugene Monroe, both seniors, will probably be first rounders. Oher could go really high.
im a little disappointed at how thin we are on the interior. its really easy to find good solid players in the middle rounds that can play guard and center. tackles, which are at more of a premium, are a lot harder.
I would be shocked if Andre Smith stayed for his senior season. He was a top 5 pick last year as a true sophomore.

| Stigma (9/8/2008) Clearly the Jags must concentrate on acquiring at least two more Olineman, preferably a backup OLT that can start within two or three years and a OG/C that can push Mo. Williams for a starting spot.Still with all that said, it would not surprise me in the least if the Jags tap a DT like B.J. Raji of Boston College with the team's Rd 1 pick. A receiver that can get open would have been as much of a help as any o-lineman in the world yesterday if not more.

Percy Harvin with our number 1 pick. Done and done. |

| | I'm still a little inclined to agree if a top WR prospect is there RD 1 they should grab him. Harvin, Maclin, somebody with potential as a kick returner because I think Witherspoon might end up spoiling the offense with field position to start drives and if he isn't back next year that'll be missed. They need a young WR anyway. But obviously the o-line is getting to be a HUGE need so I wouldn't be suprised at all if there are atleast 2 picks that are o-line in the first 3 rounds at this point. The sky is falling? Somebody please tell it to stop! |

| | Thanks for the info. I wonder about potential OL free agents. Khalif Barnes has really disappointed me. He looked so good his rookie year and really solidified the line when he became a starter in the 5th game or so. It seems he has regressed rather than progressed. I expected him to play really well this season since it is his contract year, but haven't seen it yet. This year is shaping up like the year of injuries across the OL like it was for the DL several years ago. If not solidified somehow it will be a long season. |

You probably celebrated Tebow's "average" game against Miami much more than you have Arkansas' 2-0 start. Petrino has that program headed into the right direction.
Western Illinois?? Lousiana-Monroe? |

If you're not wasted, the day is. My theme song. Make the world a better place, punch Tim Teblow and Tony Stewart Kyle Busch in the face. | |

What direction is that? Last-minute "wins" (If thats what you can even call them) against FCS Western Illinois and barely FBS UL-Monroe. |

I wouldn't say we were thin. We had all 3 interior lineman go down, as well as one of the back ups go down. We carried 6 interior lineman. Four are injured.

Khalif gets beat up way too much. I still think people hold the whole DUI situation against him and magnify any bad play he has.
He played excellent in the Tennessee game. He missed one time where he tried to cut Vanden Bosch, but other than that he stone walled him the entire game.
