I have officially changed my stance on the articles about Jag fans.

After one bad game, your true colors have come out. The Jags fanbase really does suck!

There are a few believers out there, but many of you are simply pathetic. The Jags deserve better.

If they saw this mess here, and listened to some of you alleged fans, they would probably be thinking, "Maybe LA isn't such a bad idea after all"

They may be right.....................

I'm with you. So many people are crying doom and gloom after one game. We did fine last year, and we sure as heck can do it again this year.

Every team loses, thats a fact. I will always support my Jags, win or lose. unless they move the team.

The jags will be alright, it has been this way since JDR took over, we struggle within the division, par for the course. I still think we go 10-6 and make the playoffs.

The Jags as a team did a GREAT job.

David Garrard sucked worse than I could have imagined.

Kinda hard to do anything with Haynesworth in your face all day. This loss is on the hands of the O-line. Barnes didn't play well, Nwaire had to play injured when Manuawi was injured and Reyes played for him. Our line was pathetic, only pashos and norman played well.

this defense is laughable. im watching the game and literally laughing in pity. 3 straight throws to Marshall 3 big gains.

this team will go 6-10. mark my words thats my prediction

You're words have been marked

Sad to watch isn't it?
a few days ago everyone was excited and i loved reading this message board.
Last year i loved being on this message board during games.

but with the way people are acting i dunno if i'll do that next week, we have true fans though, it's just sadly the bandwagoners that have yet learned to be a real fan are being overly vocal about our loss.

Jaguars next Superbowl champions! Bring it.

3-4, 2-1 in the division.
Our Next game: Against The Bengals. Come on guys, we can do better. We will do better

Go Matt Jones! Stats: 38 receptions, 455 yards, 2 TD

This is whyopposing fans have this perception thatJaguar fans in general have such limited football knowledge. The guy went 23/35 with two interceptions and a td despite being under tremendous pressure with absolutely no running game support. He didn't play a great game but he didn't play badly. He was the only offense we had in the entire game while having tack defenders in his face all day.

You had no problems blaming Leftwich for losses.. but you pile on excuses for Garrard.

He sucked. He gets SCARED when he sees a pass rush and forgets he's a QB. He tries to run for it... he thinks he can beat people who are twice as strong as him.

He had plenty of chances to THROW THE BALL away.. but never did. Not just on the final play - but that's a great example. He doesn't have a brain. 14 wonderlic is rearing it's ugly head.

Worst play of the day is when Reggie Williams was WIDE OPEN and Garrard took the sack from Griffin.

jagutopia:

How many fanbases do you know as intimately as you do the Jaguars?

I'm quite confident that, collectively, we share the same DNA as any other fanbase. That is, ride high with a win, slit your wrists with a loss.

Except maybe if you're Duke BlueDevil football fan. Where all is lost immediately after the season opener coin toss.

Yea.. why wasn't that a valid excuse when Byron was the QB?

Seriously... Garrard REFUSES to throw the ball away. He thinks he can beat everyone. He needs to THROW THE BALL AWAY!

I was impressed as hell with his ability to knock the first defender off him everytime he was nearly sacked.. but I screamed at the TV for him to THROW IT AWAY... what does he do? Stand there and wait to be sacked. He's DUMB.

Not true. Remember that game vs. the Titans in '06???

Look, Garrard is fine. Jags' O-Line couldn't hold three of our D-Linemen. No running game. How do you expect a QB to play under those circumstances???

Did you see him throwing down the first defender to get to him almost every play?

He could have and SHOULD HAVE thrown the ball away.. but didn't. He had plenty of time after knocking the D-linemen on their a$$... But he thought he could do it to everyone instead of throwing the ball away.

He was almost as bad as Vince Young.. i was actually screaming at the TV when Daryl Smith injured Young, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Now they have a REAL QB behind center! Crap! Game over."
