Someone say that the NFC East is the toughest division in the NFL?

Jason Campbell made a lot of bad decisions tonight. Throwing balls 2 yards in front of the line of scrimmage on crossing routes on third and long? Are you kidding me? You're not a rookie anymore kid. Jim Zorn's play calling was also really bad. How they even scored one touchdown boggles my mind. Terrible clock management at the end of the second quarter. Luckily, Santana broke free for the score. Regardless, the 'Skins looked like crap and the G-men, after dominating early, showed they aren't the team that beat the Patriots in February.

I'm just going to assume it was Week 1 slopiness for both teams because both looked horrible. Anyone who says the NFC East is the best in the NFL just got told tonight they were wrong.

      Some good observations!

It seemed like Jason Campbell and the Redskins Offense was having major growing pains with their WCO version passing attack.     Their passing game could take weeks to come around.

Jim Zorn's inexperience as a Head Coach certainly showed up in this game.

The Redskins have enough talent to get back into the playoffs.   But whether Jim Zorn,   James Campbell,  and many others can adapt quickly enough could well be the key question surrounding the team's 2008 season.

Redskins looked terrible, but at least Jason Taylor did awesome.

I wonder why Taylor was being lined up against the RT? He doesn't have the bulk to stop the run.

I agree about the skins and the playcalling.  I honestly could not believe what I was watching at the end of the game.  It seriously looked like the Skins thought it was still the preseason.  You are down by two scores with six minutes left, 90 yards from the end zone and you are RUNNING the ball?  Not only that, but after your run play gets stuffed and you are bailed out by a late hit penalty, you then run THE EXACT SAME PLAY with THE EXACT SAME RESULT minus the penalty.  Under five minutes down by two scores and they are not in the no huddle offense.  4th and 15 and Campbell is under center, not in the shotgun.  3r d and 4th and 15+ and he is throwing 3 yard out patterns.  In the last minute they don't at least try for the FG and the onside kick to make a game of it.  I was baffled.  Zorn did not seem to know what he was doing.  Any first year high school coach could have done a better job of playcalling and at least ATTEMPTING to win the game than he did last night.  Far from a stellar debut for him.

NYG came out strong, but the second half was a complete bore.  The Giants D looked good even with the injury and retirement losses, but that was far from a high powered offense they were facing with Washington.
