| | I didn't see them all play, but a few QB's stats caught my eye: Pat White, WVU- 25/33, 208 yards , 5 TD, 9 rush 63 yards (Early Heisman fav?) Rudy Carpenter, Arizona St - 22/28, 388 yards, 1 TD (very accurate) Colt McCoy, Texas - 24/29, 222 yards, 3 TD, 12 rush for 103 yards (he can run?) Graham Harrell, Texas Tech - 43/58, 536 yards, 2 TD (going for Brennan's marks?)

| rfc17 (8/31/2008) CJ Spiller's kickoff return was pretty electric. but for some reason the genius known as Tommy Bowden only had Spiller touch the ball 4 times on offense.
id be so mad if i was a clemson fan.
I sure am. Spiller is a beast, but you can't get anything out of him if he doesn't get the ball. The defense playing like poo didn't help either.
I hate college football. One loss and you're pretty much out of it for the championship game unless you start out ranked in the top five. Come on September 7th!!!!!

I bet I could take a high school team to play Clemson, have the game hyped all up and they'd lose.
That's what Tommy Bowden does, lose hyped up games.
Don't get too excited about Colt McCoy ABC, he'll come back down.

| | Sanchez, the QB for USC, looked pretty good to me. And Walker the TE for Alabama looked awfully good. |

That's pretty much typical Clemson offense in my opinion. They are really kind of rigid and don't make many changes during the course of a game. Of course the way Alabama was beating them up front I think the only significant change they could have made was throw a kitchen sink at them. |

| | As a Mizzou fan I would love to hear some outsiders opinions on Chase Daniel. When he came to Mizzou I said he'd never make it, being a 6'0 guy. However, he is probably the most accurate passer in the nation. He comes from a gimmick spread offense (although who doesn't these days), and he's a bit on the short side. I have changed my stance and now believe he has the NFL in his future. Do others see the same things? He's mobile enough to matter and man does he have the arm strength, accuracy, and field awareness to do it. He can make all the throws, and will make all the throws, you have to see one he made versus Illinois this weekend right into between two defenders (Perry dropped the pass), but that's an NFL throw. Does anyone think he has legit NFL potential? And how high might it be?

Jags2DaDeath (8/31/2008) He hasn't played yet this weekend but also watch Fresno State tight end Bear Pascoe. They play Rutgers tomorrow. He is a complete tight end. You will hear his name early next April.I'm sorry to put a sophmore in, but Carlos Dunlap DE-Florida is a monster. I hate to go off-topic, but who said that piece that is in your signature? Sorry for the late response, but it was some reporter for the Titans. He put it up before the beggining of last season and I had a feeling he'd be completely wrong.
" The Jaguars will tank: Jacksonville has mishandled the quarterback position and both candidates — Byron Leftwich, designated the starter, and David Garrard — are shaky. Daunte Culpepper may be a possibility, but he also ranks as an unknown commodity these days.
That uncertainty, the slow development of receivers and the difficulty finding big plays more than offset a nice backfield combination of Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew and a high-ranking defense.
This will be Coach Jack Del Rio's last season in Jacksonville " | |

| Everytime I watch Stafford play I'm amazed at his arm strength and accuracy. It's as if he's not trying to throw hard too. He's not winding up like Byron did to throw the rockets.
Crompton was a disappointment. I thought he would be better than how he played.
Jeff Demps and Chris Rainey look pretty good so far. I'm not sure why Kestahn touches the ball with the amount of playmakers on that team. Louis Murphy also looks legit.
Andre Smith is another guy that amazes me everytime I watch. He's been starting since day one and I've yet to see him have a bad game.
It's hard to judge Mark Sanchez because his receivers and running backs would start almost anywhere. The amount of talent on that team is unbelievable. They look like 2001/02 Miami.
Jeremy Maclin is a stud (but that's nothing new). Chase Daniel and that offense is almost unstoppable. He's got a lot of intangibles and a good arm/accuracy. The wild card for scouts will be his height.
Juice Williams looked pretty good. Better than he looked last year. I still don't think he'll make it in the NFL though.

| Kenny Britt looked pretty good with Rutgers. Good size, good speed, Looks like a tough strong dude too.
I've also always liked Arian Foster from Tennessee. I think he has a good combo of size and speed and good moves.
