| TheSpacePope (8/28/2008) If the Jags draft Tebow it'll be as a TE or FB.
As a QB he wouldn't make it in the NFL.
Why do you say that?
Does he even have the size and catching ability to be a TE?
[b]My Week 6 Prediction!
Jaguars 28-Broncos 21
David Garrard- 205 yards 1Td.
Maurice Jones-Drew- 106 rushing yards 2td.
Matt Jones- 6 Rec 84 yards.
Jerry Porter- 3 rec 56 yards 1 td
Derrick Harvey 1 sack.

| Because his 1) mechanics suck 2) footwork suck 3) ability to read a D sucks 4) arm strength is mediocre - I don't care about his ability to throw the ball long - can he throw a tight spiral 20 yards downfield on a string?
Maybe he can correct them - but more than likely not. Name one UF QB who is any good at the NFL level. No names come up.

| During meaningless preseason?
No one had a problem with him besides his mechanics. He's a smart guy who can read Defenses. Never seen Tim Tebow do that.

True but also people had a problem with his arm strength, I think Tebow will come into the NFL as a QB and stay like that simply because hes expected to be drafted high I dont think a team will draft a Heisman winning QB early as a TE or FB.

| Name one Heisman Trophy winning QB to amount to anything in the NFL in the past 20 years.

Well Troy Smith doesn't look bad in Baltimore, & Carson Palmer is one of the best QB's in the league i think. He just has a lack of players around him.

He has some of the best WRs in football around him.
He was great at first.. now he's mediocre.
Just wait til Troy Smith see a pass rush. Remember the BCS game? He looked like a baby.

Yeah some of the best WR's all he has is himself and the WR's. No TE, their Running Game has went downhill, and the O-Line play hassn't been good either. If you was to put Carson Palmer on a team like San Diego, or Tampa Bay or somewhere else he would be in Peyton Manning status.
Troy Smith i believe would win the QB competition but he has a small injury right now, John Harbaugh has talked good things about him from Training Camp. and He has showed pretty good stuff so far in Preseason.
so i have to disagree with you. His O-Line shut down on him in the BCS game and with the Gators Dominate Line he had no chance.

| The bad thing about Tebow (and pretty much every offensive player for Florida) is that they play in that wacky spread-option Offense that would get eaten alive in the NFL.
That Offense obscures so much of how a player will perform at the next level because the Defense is always having to wait on the run. There is rarely if ever a play without a play-action and several times that includes the QB sneak. Such things don't really occur in the NFL, and you don't know how a player will react when a DT is just as fast as a college RB.
I am not saying that Tebow can or cannot be successful at the next level (although my gut says that he won't be anywhere near as successful as he is in college) but that the system that he plays in could be hiding flaws that he himself doesn't even know he has.
Go heavy early.
You do not maintain perfection, you work for it everyday.
