| The Redskins game earlier had Theismann & Mike Patrick, (the old ESPN announcers). That was enjoyable to listen to.
Mike Patrick has always been one of the better play by play voices in the league.
Sure puts Brian Sexton to shame.

Sure puts Brian Sexton to shame.I like Mike Patrick, but Theisman is one of the worst there is. Also, they both were beyond homers in that broadcast.

Sure puts Brian Sexton to shame.I like Mike Patrick, but Theisman is one of the worst there is. Also, they both were beyond homers in that broadcast.
I don't fault local broadcasters for being homers. Thats not my gripe with Sexton. He's just rather drab to listen to. He is prone to the mistake (mis-identifying players) and when he actually does show excitement in a call, he sounds nerdy. He just doesn't have a good NFL voice, IMO.
The local play by play guy also represents your franchise, as when some of the national shows do their highlights, often times they will use the feed from the local broadcast for audio in describing the scoring play. That usually results in an embarrassment whenever we have to hear Sexton in them. I just don't think he reflects well upon the franchise. We deserve better. I'd like for the Jaguars to get one of them Keith Jackson good ol' boys type voices for their PBP announcer for their games. Sexton sounds like a sissy.

I have no problem with Lageman.
It's Brian Sexton that needs to be replaced/ upgraded.
