| Rashean27Mathis (8/21/2008) percy is roscoe parrish part 2 Thug Life might earn some bonus points as special teamer. Other than from gator homers, all the buzz about Harvin is Tebow-esque. good luck. remember when the locals all told us chris leak would be playing on an NFL roster? And also that less than mediocre RB- what's his name? That's pretty ignorant. Roscoe is small and thin. He's 5'9'' 171 and Percy is 5'11'' 200. He's a lot closer to Steve Smith than Roscoe in both build and style of play.

91 Off The Edge 93 (8/21/2008)
Alfie (8/21/2008)
Chooch (8/21/2008) He's going to be tough to project because he is a lot like R. Bush.
He has some amazing play-making abilities, but it almost seems like he will have to fit into a specific Offense in order to be as effective as possible. That spread Offense just really doesn't lend itself to evaluating WR's, QB's, and TE's in a traditional manner.
I have no doubt though that his triangle numbers alone will put him in Day One.Watch out Chooch, you're going to be stampeded by Gator fans for saying he doesn't have a true position and is a lot like Reggie Bush. Rumor has it he'll miss the first 2 games as well. I have a feeling this heel thing will be a long term issue. I hope he is back for Miami, but we should win with or without him. I don't see any Gator fans arguing the fact that he doesn't have a true position. IMO, he'll be able to focus more on receiving this year which will help his draft status. Actually, you and a few others threw a big hissy fit a few months ago when I questioned his ability as a WR and that he played out of the back field more than as a WR. False. He did not play more out of the backfield.

Alfie (8/21/2008) I'll ask again, where did I say their offense wasn't very good?
I already said....you implied it. You didn't say those words exactly. Much more on that thread I am saving for later
I implied that the offense wasn't going to be able to carry the team like most Gator fans think. I was making a point that they're relying on a bunch of unproven guys along with Tebow and Harvin.
Not even close to that.
You tried to make that argument in the post. But it too is weak. Tebow and Harvin were the offense last season. The guys coming in to play are phenomenal. Proven or unproven. The speed is sick, and Meyer knows what he is doing.
Again, Tebow and Harvin were it last year, throw in a seasoned offensive line, more playmakers and this offense is scary, and better than last year.
See, that's what I'm talking about.
"Seasoned" is just another word for "We hope they got better in the offseason".

| It's possible.
Being a season older doesn't necessarily make them a lot better, either.

Being a season older doesn't necessarily make them a lot better, either. So a season of experience in the toughest division in college football in addition to another season learning Urban Meyer's system and in Florida's phenomenal strenght and conditioning program wouldn't make them better? By the way, how do you define "a lot better"?

Wait... the Gator d-line should be a strength?
Hold on, I've got to stop laughing before I can type anymore.
