If you wanted a respectful debate, i'm sure you wouldn't have started it off by insulting me. I made a point that Harvey should be traded. You could have respectfully disagreed, but instead you chose to insult me. FBT, don't pretend that you are interested in a reasonable debate. This move up to the top 8 was a collassal mistake.  The Jags knew what a top 8 pick was gonna cost.  They just did not know that the slotting would escalate it a few more million.  Bottom line if you really thought he was worth it you should pay it.  The market dictates the slot.  Teams cant.  And right now Harvey has all the leverage.  He can go back in to the draft and we will never recoup what we sold to get this chump.

Even if he signs you know Jax will hammer this kid all the time when he underperforms.

So, the Jaguars should just overspend because they knew it was going to cost them to move up to #8?  I'm glad that the fans have no control over this because the cap would be destroyed in about 5 minutes if that was permitted.

The Jaguars have offered him a fair market contract based on where he's slotted.  He was looking to break the bank and get a deal that would have paid him at a level that was only seen by guys drafted AHEAD of him.  They weren't going to buckle, and they still won't.  They understand what the market value is, and they're sticking to their position. 

Oddly enough, any movement that has been seen between the two sides has been the player coming closer to the team's number and not the other way around. 

The market has determined the slot, and the Jaguars are sticking to that slotting with their offer.  They have every right to take the stance that they have, and in the end, when a deal DOES get signed (and it will), guess whose numbers will be closer to the reality?  It won't be Harvey and Kremer.

BTW, you might want to go back and read that thread you started again, Mr. Powers.  I didn't insult you with my first response.  I told you that you should have remained quiet.  The first insult was passed along by the Red Coat "FAECES" expert.

Some folks have ZERO testicular fortitude.  It's been a 3 week hold out and they want to give up.
