Nelson is good, but you guys are getting a little ahead of yourself on the "best safety" stuff after only one year of decent play.  He has a lot of physical ability, but he has got to improve on the mental aspect and get some experience under his belt before he can be considered one of the best.
He's a top 3 FS because there's alot of garbage FSs out there.

In the AFC or the whole NFL?

And yet you are ready to claim that Griffin is going to be better than Nelson.  You are the poster child for "if you don't agree with me you're stupid".  You must have incredibly low self esteem.

To answer my own question, I just went through all of the projected starters at FS in the NFL per Sporting News preview magazine.  He may arguably be top 3 in the NFL in FS.  Some of the guys I was thinking about were SS.  At FS the only guys in the NFL that might be better are D. Sharper, K. Hamlin, A. Rolle, M. Huff , M. Griffin and Ed Reed.  He could be in the middle of that group some place.  For sure top 3 in the AFC.

Michael Huff has been pure garbage.  Ask any Oakland fan.

VY is already a top 5 QB in this league. He just wins games. And no need for Fred Taylor or MJD we have Chris Henry... he will be better then both of them after this year. Just like Vince Young was last year. BOOK IT.

Rolle is a heck of a DB at any position.  Huff, yeah you are probably right about him after I think about it.  Cross him off.

So Nelson may be behind only Darren Sharper and Ed Reed at FS in the entire NFL already?  Is that what you guys are saying?
