| | Trash talking back and forth seems pointless on this topic...if indeed the topic is the stadium announcer. Just know there are many elements that go into the stadium announcer being successful. First, he is located beyond the endzone in the corner of the stadium....bascially in the area of section 218. Also, there are two spotters and a producer. All three parties (PA and two spotters) are watching the game through binoculars and while you as a fan can go to the bathroom, drink a beer or socalize, this group has to watch EVERY play. They can't take a play off. Please don't think he is up there making things up on his own. Also, you have to know that the previous announcer had been there for more than 5 years. I guess what I am saying is, don't jump all over someone for the first few games of their first season in the big leagues. Oh yea...and why do you need someone to SAY first down? Why can't he just lead you into it? Good for a Jacksonville.... Geesh, you should know what to do at this point. |

| Giving credit where credit is due, even now he's usually better than Scott Thomas. Still makes errors but not as egregious as Thomas.

| | Well...like I said in my previous post...consider the location and the process. Mistakes will be made...I can't imagine that every other stadium announcer in the NFL is perfect on each and every play in a game. |

| | He's doing a FINE job now!!! Kudos. And for the "PA announcer apologist guy", this thread was started during the pre-season. He has since stepped it up.
Watch your step. | |

| He kept saying Matt "Schwab" instead of Matt Schaub.
TMD on Mike Walker Sep.7: "because he stinks" "Why don't you get it? WTH has this player done, besides be an OTA wonder?" "In the exhibition games, he's shown eggo hands." "It's like you people are truly shocked/ mystified/ surprised that Harris produced another bust." FREE JAGSTUNNA!!!!!! PRAISE MOD

While we appreciate th difficulties that come with your husbands job, we don't care to hear you whine about our whining.
Thank you for your consideration in this matter.

| | I am most certainly not the announcers wife. I have never met the woman and have actually had little interaction with the man himself. I am just saying... |

| I have to admit, he is improving each week. The only thing that really bothers me about him not is that he really doesn't have that emotion in the "Good for a Jacksonville, FIRST DOWN!" like the old guy did. But that is just nitpicking. If he continues to improve like he has been, then he may be elite by the end of the season.

| | He has improved alot and I no longer have any complaints about him. A previous poster stated that it is a team effort and i am sure that spending time together doing their job has helped.Carry on PA Team you are doing a fine job!! |
