I did not enjoy the new PA guy. Wrong on alot of down and distance calls, who tackled who, and player names. He actually started to convince me that Mkristo Bruce is actually mkristo BROOKS! He also screwed up Pierson Prioleau's name several times although i can forgive that one. He also lacked energy on his calls. I hope he develops some personality studies the roster and learns how to subtract/add yards and downs. OPINIONS?

But he was still better than Scott Thomas. The misses could be attributed to his spotters or rookie mistakes. Let's see if he improves during the preseason. He was better last night than he was at the scrimmage.

Wow! I can't believe I'm defending the stadium announcer.

Just like the roster, I give him the preseason to work out the bugs. Unfortunately for him that means next weekend since we travel the final two weeks. I do hope he improve. The PA guy is a vital part of the game and need to be at least accurate.

The new guy needs to step it up.

The "move those chains" chant is to be "kicked off" after EVERY first down by the PA announcer, and it's to be done with some enthusiasm.  We have a nice tradition brewing as a fanbase, and it needs to be upheld.

Last year, the announcer would say "good for a Jacksonville ... FIRST DOWN!"..

Crowd: Blublablu.....yadda yadda yadda...

This guy never said "first down", he wanted the crowd to say it.

All the rest is nothing to me because I rarely pay attention to the announcer anyway.

This is the one aspect of his job that he must execute flawlessly.

Don't make me come up there!

You don’t win the title by assembling the best. You win the title by playing the best. JDR

Exactly.  He needs to say the FIRST DOWN part, and we take it from there. It goes along way towards sychrinizing the entire chant.

It seems minor, but it makes a lot of difference, as you can see by crowd participation.

Thanks for the link.  We had some problems wiht Parking Lot X when we showed up at the time the Jaguar fan services told us it would be open.  They were incorrect,.  I called twice last week about the lot.  The first person was totally incorrect.  The second person was incorrect about the opening time, but knew a small bit about the fact that the grassy past of the lot (next to the river) would not be open.  Unfortunately, she really didn't give out the fact that the entire grassy part of the lot would be closed, and closed all season.
