It will be a pleasure to beat a great Colts team at the top of their game.

The road to greatness does not go through mediocrity.

And on top of that, Dungy may be done after this year, or the next, his heart may not be in it. And Manning's never had to come back from a knee surgery, atleast to my knowledge, he's not use to missing pre-season games. It may effect him, it may not, but im sure we have a better chance at beating you guys this year than we did last year.

Weak.

Like I previously stated, Manning has 4-6 weeks of recovery on his injury.

The surgery took place on July 14.

Six weeks (using the maximum) after that is one week BEFORE opening night against Chicago.

They said that he could come back in three if he absolutely had to.

Poof goes your point.

The argument against Dungy is laughable.

'Just as easily as he could be "out of it," the team might play their hearts out for him, as the Super Bowl is in Tampa Bay this year.

The 2005 Steelers did quite well when they had a feeling that Cowher's days were numbered.

And again: That still doesn't make your previous statements correct.

You're right about Harrison.  Yeah, he's getting old.

'That said, you dodge the fact that we were without him for most of the season and still posted 13 wins, not counting the Tennessee game.

That includes two wins over-guess who?-your Jaguars.

If you're going to pull in outside, irrelevant factors (like Dungy and Harrison, and Manning, for that matter) that determine our season; at least admit that we are opening a brand-new stadium in the weeks to come, marking 25 years in Indy.

You've got to do better than that.

You don't need to look very hard @ Jaguars.com MB to find someone who will argue the impending demise of the Colts.

Most here will (begrudgingly) admit their superiority over the AFC South, and even the NFL.

That said, we have been hot on your heels for a couple of years now.

It is funny, however, to watch you get giddy when you find someone to argue the opposite.

I give the champ the number one ranking at the start of a new season.

In my book that makes the Giants the defending champions.

What the heck... you almost got past San Diego.

Priority number one is to win this division, Im not even thinking superbowl right now. If we make it as a fifth or sixth seed, thats great, but, we've gone 1-2 so far in this era with JDR and Harris and I would like to see them play a game here at home.

Secondly, yes, keep the key players heatlhy, this always a must every year for every team.

Third, placing guys like Favre and Rivers in the post-season is way pre-mature. When you strip down each division in the AFC. Only two or three teams, in my opinion, can really be cemented in the post-season right now as of today.

New England, Indinapolis and Pittsburgh, in my opinion, offer the most legitimacy in the AFC as post-season runners again this year.

After that, like it or not, Jacksonville may have to contend, and work alot harder, and we can only pray they win the division this year to gurantee a spot because the Titans are not a bad football team, and the Texans went eight and eight last season without solid players in key positions. So I would be alittle worried there if I were anybody.

Out West, San Diego makes an easy case, however, Oakland is still a question mark, but the tetter on both sides of the scale because we dont really know what kind if impacts that Hall, Walker and McFadden may impose in the AFC this year. And also the Broncos, I dont know why people let this team down off the radar, I dont know. Cutler gets better and better every year and theirs no reason not to believe he wont be poised and captain cool again this season. Kansas City is in re-building mode but you never know with Herman Edwards.

Up North, Pittsburgh is clearly the gold winner there, Baltimore is re-building, Cleveland was close to pushing us out last year and the Bengals are another one of those teams where "You never Know".

AFC East, New England by a country mile, Buffalo and New York are 50/50 in my opinion. I'd give the edge to the Jets. They've got $140 Million reasons right now to have some faith in them. Can you buy a championship? No. But can you buy high quality football players to help you potentially get there? Yes. The Dolphins are in re-build as well. So, all in all, it's going to be a hell like season for the AFC, in every division.

MY SEEDS:

1. New England- Didnt lose any major players other than Samuel

2. Pittsburgh- Second year for Tomlin will be better

3. Jacksonville- We made more moves and strides than Indianpolis

4. San Diego- Powe-house offense and tenacious speed defense

5. Indinapolis- Still a great team despite declining age

6. Denver- Cutler is going to be Shannahan's last war cry or he's done

this i have to ask, how many times do we have to beat pitsburgh to be seeded higher than them on our own fan board. we beat them twice in their house like a drum and their lines are like swiss cheeze.  they had a good draft, i will give them that but mendenhall and sweed won't be that istrosive this yea.  they still have question marks protecting the QB we sacked at will last year and the pass rush unit from this team has gotten better.

We will all have to make the choice between what is right, and what is easy.

Give freely unto others, be brave in the face of your enemies, love those who hate you for those who hate you will only win if you hate them back, be generous with praise-it costs nothing, love all men, and fear not for he will come.

There will come a day when the courage of good men will fade away and the tyranny of the weak will destroy mankind..., but today does not have to be that day!

remembe this day men, for it is the curse of man that they forget...

i will say this for the rest of the year, people are worried about the HARVEY HOLD OUT.. BRETT FAVRE is going to another team at 38 and he has had what, a day or two to look at the playbook and the season starts in a month...

i am not worried that he is going to miraculously turn around a team as depleted in talent as the jets.

If we don't win the division, and go in as a wildcard, and Pittsburg does win their division, they will in fact be seeded higher than us, even if we beat them, and have a better record.

It happened last year.

ICF you know I always say, it's the colts world and we are just living in it. You guys were still a darn good team w/o key players for much of the season. The one injury (just like most teams) that you can't afford to lose someone is at the qb. But until we start making good on these reasons/excuses we are still the little brother.

Hopefully this year can be the year we finally get over the hump. Like the bulls/pistons, Niners/Cowboys Giants/NFL, could it be Jags/Colts next?

aww ICF, why dont you tell us again how we didnt get cheated because YOU reviewed the game and YOU determined it was called fair.  You are the biggest homer I have ever seen.  I cant wait to beat you guys.

Rashean the I-N-T Machine Mathis- best CB in the game
TMD's "predictions" so far for 08 season:
-Minnesota and Philly in the NFC championship game with Minnesota in the Superbowl
-Denver Broncos in the AFC championship game
-Houston a top 5 rushing team in the 09 season
-Houston seeded higher in the playoffs than the jags
- jags finishing 9-7 at best
- Browns finish better than the Jags
-Jags finish last in the AFC South after a bad showing in the preseason
TMD and I have a bet for $100 on the Jags wins
-Denver winning the AFC West LOL
-Bengals over Jags 24-21

1. New England: Could go 16-0 by accident
2. Indianapolis: Can't put the Jags ahead of them until they prove they are better
3. San Diego: Becoming an elite team, poised for the Super Bowl
4. Cleveland: Pittsburgh's schedule is just brutes
5. Jacksonville: Third best team in the conference
6. Baltimore: With decent QB play, this team can surprise, not long ago they were 13-3

Piitsburgh's schedule: Cincy x2, Cleveland x2, Baltimore x2, Dallas, Washington, New York Giants, Philadelphia, New England, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Houston, Tennessee, San Diego

I don't think the Steelers are good enough to overcome that schedule

It was difficult to decide the six seed. I'm going out on a limb, but you can make an argument for a handful of another teams. These are playoff seeds, not league rankings.

"Get giddy?"

I disagreed with his opinion.

I brought FACTS AND TRUTHS to back my disagreements.

How is that being "giddy?"

I guess what you're saying is, is that I should keep my mouth shut anytime I see something that I might disagree with.

Which, in turn, means that you think I shouldn't post here.

All because I disagree with someone's opinion...in this case, a completely false opinion.

I have a right to voice my opinion just as you do yours, regardless of the team I support or the ridiculously false (in this case) points that I disagree with.

Live with it.
