I am also in lot Z.  We are the group of trucks right at the exit across from the auditorium  right next to the parking garage that most people use to head to the stadium.  I will be going to the Gas Knob (Old Amsterdam) tomorrow it is owned by my very good friend Ralph Tiernan.  The food is excellent (read review in Times Union yesterday) and Ralph is a huge Jag's fan.  It should be rocking.

FYI fellow lot Z'ers feel free to stop by our area anytime.  My name is Tom.

I've always had a tailgators parking pass so I have no other point of reference for comparison.  The thin I most like is knowing the people around me.  I don't mind the walk.  It's just long enough to drink 2 beers before going into the stadium.

my tailgating varied but usually somewhere just off talleyrand.  usually somewhere near or directly under the matthews.

Same here...usually right under the bridge across the street from the JagMart Gas Station.  $15 ain't bad and it's a fun walk to and fro.

I have been at Tailgators for several years...you ladies will appreciate that they have large clean bathrooms.

I think you are one or two rows over from us.  Are you in the corner under the trees and next to the fence?

I've been there since '97 and the only gripe I have is their lack of enforcement of the rules. They have a rule against throwing the football which nobody pays attention to but should. Every year a fight breaks out because the pass goes astray and trashes somebody's car/grill/face etc. Last year it happened right over me and wiped out my neighbor's grill complete with burgers and dogs. It spilled all over the ground and the force of the football landing squarely on the grill bent the legs.

The culprits didn't bother to pay them, offer them some of their food, or even apologize. Alcohol fueled the verbal exchanges and a fight would have been ugly had me and some others stepped in to calm things down.

Heh-heh.

I've got only a one beer walk. Hence the sake bombs just before the walk to the stadium.

Kick it in gear just before kickoff.

I have to agree.  I've been there since 2001 and that is, by far, the biggest problem.  There were guys (probably 25 - 40) throwing the ball and it went right into the back of someone's car.  They were an older couple who tailgate by themselves and have a TV in the back of their gas guzzling, global warming, SUV .  Luckily, it didn't hit my SUV.  The guys were jerks and really needed to have the crap stomped out of them.  Luckily, a police officer parks near them and was able to calm the situation.  No apologies, no nothing.  Typical Gator fan.

Welcome to Duval. Prepare to be hit.
