| FBT (8/7/2008)
opjagfan91 (8/7/2008) Great report FBT. Do you think there will be room on this roster for Charles Davis? Also, it seems like every off-season/preseason Wyche steps up his game, barring any injuries do you think he makes this roster and if he does do you think he will get playing time? Lastly, do you see Pettway making the roster because it seems like Groves could be used in the same role and I would rather keep Wyche.
Charles Davis is actually one of the more entertaining stories of training camp. I didn't figure him for the roster initially, but after watching this guy in training camp, I think we may have found a third TE that we will want to hang on to who isn't named Wrighster.
Based on how he catches the football, I think Koetter will find a way to work him into the playbook.
Let's see what happens with Pettway/Wyche in the preseason. Wyche has had the better camp overall, but the cream rises to the top when the hitting goes live.
Krayz_Jville_D (8/7/2008) when did sensabuagh overtake williams? just a day or 2 ago there was an article on how well a fit brian williams was at SS.
Sensabaugh was making plays that can change fate on a dime. Mondaycan bean eternityin roster evolution.
There was an article written about Reggie Williams by the senior editor of this web site that made it sound as if it was an absolute certainty that the receiver was getting cut last year. A week later (actually 1 play and a lost helmet later) and Reggie is setting the franchise record for TD receptions.
Trust me I understand that about Vic. I have just heard nothing from the coaching staff to think otherwise, and at the scrimmage he was the SS in base, and NB in nickel. You are now saying that Sensabaugh is the SS in base now, thats just interesting. I guess we'll have to see what happens in the end, thats all. Good write up though.

TMD's "predictions" so far for 08 season:
-Minnesota and Philly in the NFC championship game with Minnesota in the Superbowl
-Denver Broncos in the AFC championship game
-Houston a top 5 rushing team in the 09 season
-Houston seeded higher in the playoffs than the jags
- jags finishing 9-7 at best
- Browns finish better than the Jags
-Jags finish last in the AFC South after a bad showing in the preseason
TMD and I have a bet for $100 on the Jags wins
-Denver winning the AFC West LOL
-Bengals over Jags 24-21

| | I coulda sworn I heard Del Rio say that Brian Williams will be a starter somewhere this year. I think on the JDR show he said that B-Will is the team's starting SS. But hey, if Sensy can take the job away, more power to him. He's a physical freak. I trust Jack to put the best 11 guys out there on Sunday.

When was this said, this week? I'd really likethem to pick a starter, and go with it so that their is a comfort level with everyone.

| For what it's worth, I've noticed that Brian Williams is the strong safety in the base 4-3 defensive setup for what I assume is the starting line-up. In nickel formations, Williams moves up and Sensabaugh takes the strong safety position. This, of course, doesn't mean much as anything can change, but as it stands, I'm betting it's Williams's job to lose. We should have a better idea come Saturday. Then again, Del Rio has never really been big on depth charts at this point in the year.

| I just wanted to say 'thanks' for your reports from the practices and I am now convinced that you have nothing against Matt, I believe you want him to succeed just as much as anyone else.

You can be disappointed with a player and critical, but that doesn't mean you don't root for him to succeed as a Jaguar. You sometimes have to read between the lines to understand everyone's (mostly everyone's) feelings on Matt.
Either write something worth reading, or do something worth writing.

We'll see. This was just my opinion on the matter, so I could certainly be wrong.
