Because the developers still have his gear from his rookie year. Well, they need to step it up then. Madden/EA needs to stop pumping the same game out every year and just slapping a new year on the cover. Ifthey still have his "old gear" from 2006, then is it really Madden '09? His rookie year they had his name as Maurice Drew-Jones. And wouldn't let you change it. Annoyed the hell out of me. That wasn't as bad as Al Michaels say "Akin A-yo-del-a" on the tackle.

New features, same crappy AI. If they really wanna fix the game they'd fix all the issues with the AI.

Because neither of those can be adjusted to make the game look better then it really is. Esoeciallt the gameplay videos can be polished to look better.
