| Josh83 (8/3/2008) I really wouldn't be surprised if Drew Miller is the future center for the Jags. With the injury trend that Meester has been following, that could be the near future. Meester is also 31 years old with a lot of wear and tear. I'm really surprised Miller wasn't drafted in the first place, but it worked out for us, and Jack even said he'll make the team. They are also both the same size, and hopefully Meester's work ethic in the weight room will rub off. They are also both very intelligent with great educational backgrounds, a key for that position. I'd say this could work out perfectly for Miller, giving him at least a couple of years to be groomed before Meester retires.
Miller has to be better than terrible first. Not to mention compete with Norman and Nwaneri.

| Alfie (8/2/2008) I would say no. He got smoked in all of the pass rushing drills by the interior lineman. There was also a play where Gerald Sensabaugh blitzed up the middle, punched Miller and then shed him like he was nothing. Not a good sign.
Also, Jordan is probably the worst offensive tackle I have ever seen in my life.Colon for the Steelers is pretty bad. So was John St Clair.

Let me guess, you're a Gator fan?

| | It was either in Times Union or on here. Why the heck would I make that up? Yeah that's what I do I make up false information so I can go write about it on message boards. Then I do a victory dance in celebration of my trickery. If I get * to hold out false hopes on a backup center than my plan is complete. |

| Drew Miller is a beast of a guy and a rookie that should have a future in this league. He is fast for an OG and should be just as good at center. The reason I like this guy is size, strength and speed. He is resonsible for letting Tebow and the gators lead a successful rush all last season and the guy just looks like a starter already. I believe he played more at center last year at UF, and with recent injuries I think its a no brainer he'll have a future roster spot on this team.
"Raisin' Eyebrows with the Jagwires Kid" I am offically a Mike Walker fan. I received my bandwagon tickets after the Houston game. Sorry to everyone I debated with about Walker. He is the real deal. | |

| In response to the guy who posted that Jack has already said Drew will make the roster, that's not true, Jack said that Drew has proven to be much more than a camp body.

Christ does everyone on this board look for any reason to pick apart each other's posts. That's not the quote I was thinking of, but what do you think Jack is insinuating with that? Does anybody really think Miller won't make the team? Many scouts predicted Miller would be drafted and I think we really got lucky he wasn't. This really kind of makes up for one of the pick we lost. I don't know how Mad Dog still can't get it through his fat head that Shack and the rest of our management are not only good talent evaluators, but probably top 5 in the league behind maybe Indy, Baltimore, NE, and maybe Dallas. NY is up there too I would think. |
