The problem with this part of your argument is for one thing, robbing a liquor store and entering the country illegally are two totally different things.
The idea that she was "brought" here by family or whomever doesn't change the fact that she is an illegal alien.Wait wait wait. You make a no distinction between the breaking the law and breaking the law but you make a distinction between crimes? The same variable is being applied here... a kid is "involved".

| KSoze (7/21/2008) She married an American citizen, has an American child, grew up in America, and has a job in education (they dont pay under the table so she pays taxes, once again... showing how stupid you are all being over this. "We dont know if she pays taxes")
You know that her husband is an American citizen as a fact? I've seen nothing that either proves or disproves that as a fact.
Sure "she pays taxes" with a fraudulent SSN. I'm sure that she files a tax return every year also.
While I don't necessarily agree with deportation, it IS the law. From WHAT WE KNOW I would say that is a bit extreme, but the law MUST prevail in this circumstance.

Yes a kid is involved, but it's still 2 different things. A 3 year old kid doesn't help rob a liquor store, but a 3 year old kid "brought" into the country illegally that is now 23 years old and KNOWS that she is here illegally.

You clowns keep saying she entered the country illegally. Story states she entered the country with family at 3. Now whether you want to debate the validity of this part of the story is irrelevant. I am going on the fact this WHOLE story is true. Because this is what I have been presented with. She didnt enter the country illegally at the age of 3. She was taken into this country by her family/whatever. That takes ALL illegal actions out of the entering of this country. You want to try a 3 year old for sitting in the car while his dad robs a liquor store? No... because hopefully you arent that stupid. But going on some of these posts... it really wouldnt suprise me. Its "aiding a felon right Liv?" But you are deporting her/destroying her LEGAL child, and lets just not be more retarded and go ahead and assume if they checked the Mom, they checked the Dad and had nothing to report on his legal status here (but his name did sound ethnic... BURN HIM, mor0ns) in this story. She married an American citizen, has an American child, grew up in America, and has a job in education (they dont pay under the table so she pays taxes, once again... showing how stupid you are all being over this. "We dont know if she pays taxes") OK, if you want to pick fly poop out of black pepper? Would you agree that she was illegally brought to this country by her family at the age of three? Now has that status changed in the intervening years? Did she do anything to change that status? The fact that she was using a stolen SSN would indicate no. Since she has been and currently is an illegal alien, deportation appears to be an appropriate course of action. After deportation, she can apply to enter the country legally. Yes... she was brought here illegally. After deportation she can apply to be with her American born family. Thats awesome. She paid taxes, she started a family. There are variations in every case of breaking the law. And one needs to be applied here.

I don't agree with that totally. There is a difference between someone growing up here, raising a family and making "somewhat" of an honest living, and the REAL problem with illegals in this country.
Put it this way. How often is the maximum sentence given to a first time offender of any crime?

Now that's my whole point and I can agree with that.

I don't care if they came here at 3 Years old or 30 years old, they need to be deported and go through the motions for legal citizenship. And that includes applying at the US Embassy in their Country of Origin.

I disagree. If that's the case, then the maximum sentence should be handed out in EVERY case in criminal court whether it's a felony or a misdomeaner.
Also, you have to consider the ramifications of the "deport every last one of them" mindset. While the concept might sound good to the "hard core" people regarding immigration, this country and economy would likely collapse if that action was actually taken.

You are completely ignoring the fact that she knew of and took action to avoid the consequences of her illegal status To wit: the felonious use of a stolen Social security number. Many felons pay taxes, does that mean that they should not suffer the appropriate legal action for their crime? Sorry this is a nation of laws not a nation of emotional responses because a criminal is somebody's mother. The law should take its course.
