| | Massachusetts Librarian Faces Deportation Over Illegal Immigration Accusations Marzavi Angel Martinez is a 23-year-old Massachusetts librarian who came to this country from Mexico when she was 3 years old and now is married to her high school sweetheart. There's just one problem: She's also an illegal immigrant, according to federal authorities, who arrested her this week at her job and are pushing to deport her. Martinez was using a dead person's social security number and was paying taxes on her vehicles, MyFOX Boston reported. An Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent received information from the county sheriff's office regarding the librarian's status during an investigation of the Alamance County Health Department. "It's something the county is not going to turn their head to when there's a violation of the law," Alamance County Sheriff spokesman Randy Jones told MyFOX Boston. Martinez's husband, Marcos Miranda, said the pair went to Cummings High School together, married two years ago and have a 15-month-old son, according to MyFOX Boston. He said his wife has no memory of her native country, nor any immediate family there. The ICE said agents are simply doing their jobs by enforcing immigration laws. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,386645,00.html

| This is when immigration laws get fuzzy. This is wild to say the least. This woman has been in the United States for 20 years the only thing she has done wrong is basically use a stolen social security number. She has a family now and loves the American dream. I say they issue this woman a correct social security number and let her live her life here in America with her family.
THIS IS CRAZY RAWR!

People do things in desperate situations. A SSN is just a number assigned to a person. This Mexican woman is a person with God given rights to live where ever the heck she wants to live on this God given Earth. I think maybe if they want to punish her assign her to 250 hours of community service, I think jail time and deportation is a little extreme.

| | I dont have a problem with humanitarian rights. but if she wants to stay here then she MUST be subjected to the same laws as the rest of us.She spent two decades breaking the law and those actions have consequenses. I know it was her parents fault she was breaking the law so they should be located and punished as well.I don't have a problem with immigrants just ILLEGAL ones. |

| The report doesn't say when she acquired the SSN. If it was when she was a child, it seems silly to deport her to a country she knows nothing of, and in which she has no immediate family. This woman is not part of the immigration "problem".

| | She had the chance on her own free will to make it right when she turned 18, she didn't. She chose instead to keep breaking the law and swipe a social security number. (That's a felony) Even Naturalized citizens can be deported for felonies so..... Pack her bags and put her on a plane! She IS part of the problem RJ, the problem of Identity theft.
